On the issue of zainab , zaid and mohamed , zayed has no choice than to leave zainab for mohamed. He toed the only and safest path left for him . If he ever made the mistake of arguing or struggling with the prophet over zainab , at the end he will still be the looser , in fact he would record dual loses . He would lose both his life or freedom first and afterwards zainab. Because the prophet will receive an instantaneous message from his allah that will either permit him to kill zaid or incarcerate him. So he opted for the easiest and safest one .
