Very good Virtual Route but when I did it guess1975 it was three times over the Fan (no fan dance) three groups of men started one from the Story arms - the second from the ranges and somewhere else. there was an NCO in a tent on the summit and checked people in and gave then the next RV(one of the three start points). my last check point was at the telephone box at a road junction of the A4059 and the A470 Brecon road. come off the ridge down a steep drop then back up to the fan to finish at the story arms time allowed eight hours.

Yes there is a car park at the bottom but you can’t drive “up” the mountain you have to walk so yeah
