Tsitsipas has got a well rounded game, good baseline control, deep strokes when needed, terrific single handed backhand, and superb volleying.
    Surely the future of Tennis.

He is the future for sure. The only thing that he avoids at all costs is the slice. A great slice game can put you at a 50-50 ball a lot of times and get you out of trouble. Both Federer and Nadal have showed how important it is to have a solid slice because most players cannot punish it.

So, this guy's family supported and encouraged achieving things, working hard and being driven to suceed. It's just the way they live their lives. Same with all high achievers. Federer, Nadal. They put a huge amount of effort and time into what they do and it's what they want to be doing. So it's no surprise they are successful. They also have talent, but talent and motivation go hand in hand. If you find what you are good at and enjoy doing and believe in yourself and are motivated to go after it you will succeed as well.

This match reminds me of younger Roger Federer against great Pete sampras and won after hard fought match. Like that match this young man played a wonder ful game against Federer. This may be a rise of another legend in men's single championship. Hats of to this young man. I am a great fan of Roger. And I like the way tsitipas played. the match that made me finally.... finally come to terms that Roger is getting old. He's made everything look so easy for more than a decade. Winning or losing, it never felt like time was up after a defeat like this one to Stef...and then i was wrong, he would go on to reach another Wimbledon final losing narrowly to Novak. Roger, you are a once in a lifetime tennis player. Many can copy your style of play, but they will never be able to replicate the magician & success u had on the court & off it. 17 years later, i'm still in awe watching the "invisible man".

Im sure BOTH of them loved the game, and came out respecting each other. What I loved the most? The young players attitude. As a diehard Federer fan, this was bittersweet. It is always painful to see your idol lose a match, particularly in a tournament he won decisively last year. It also doesn´t feel right seeing Roger not playing at his absolute best.
That said, I can´t help but feel happy for Stefanos and hopeful for the future. Tsitsipas is not my favorite next gen player (that would be Shapovalov), but he is damn close. I also really like his attitude and his mind (his tactics, if you will). It´s nice to see a player that reminds me of a younger Roger doing this well at what is essentially the start of his career. I hope he can keep up this form and I´m guessing everyone wishes him the best.

it was a great match. Tsitsipas had a great hand, backhand and forehand were amazing, as well as his mental and his performance during the match. He needed to do the best match ever to kick out Fed of Australian Open, and he did it !
I guess he's got the same style as Federer. Very aerial, very stylish, with a one hand backhand with a lot of lift, a lot of skills and talent, and perfect match between focusing and big forehand and great attack and defense, it reminds a player, guess who he is...
Might be the new Federer- Sampras match that we watched. Federer played his game and he played good that night, but the greek guy did a lifetime performance, considering the level of Federer right now and the fact that he was on fire at the Hopman Cup and the first tours of Australian Open.
It's been 2 years that we're hearing the fact that the younsters are going to put out the Big Four, with the rise of Zverev, Medvedev, Kachanov, and Shapovalov, but it's still not the time. But with the perfect coordination of Murray retirement, Federer beaten by a very talented youngster during an fabulous match, and Djokovic and Nadal who are starting to be old, i guess 2019 can be the big change in tennis and the year of the rise of a new star.
Zverev is n4 right now, but it doesn't have the mental to beat the champions in grand slam, but Tiafoe, Medvedev, Shapovalov, Kyrgios, and Tsitsipas can do something awesome. Don't forget as well Nishikori and Raonic who are not from this generation but still in the top 20-30 for a long time. They still can do something !

They are both great players..sometimes you reach your peak, sometimes it’s someone else’s turn. This doesn’t mean anything Federer is still one of the best tennis players of all time. Congrats to Stefanos we are proud of him🇬🇷

Well done Tsitsipas from a die hard RF fan. Roger was polite at the handshake though he must have been hurting badly inside. This is yet another close defeat which could have easily been a victory. Another case of RF snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. While haters would again say RF is finished, he is far from over. His tennis will shut up his critics yet again. Full credit to Tsitsipas for a very gritty hard fought win. Well and truly deserved
