Contingency argument basically. Contingent thing has a cause>universe is contingent>it has a cause. Now you may encounter more sophisticated or detailed versions of this argument but argument will remain the same.
Assalamualaikum warahmatullah wa barkatuhu I recommend you the book "divine reality" by Hamza torzitz it's available in multiple languages also It was a great experience allhmdulliah reading that book
@@mohammedmuzzammil2140 okay brother I will read that , just to confirm I am Muslim not Agnostic, doubts can come and we an can answer these doubts with Islamic philosophy that’s why I asked brother sher, shah to make video, but thank you so much for recommendation I appreciate 😊
JazakAllah bro, I’ve been trying to get into studying philosophy but my work routine and the grind won’t let me. Inshallah I’ll get all of these book recommendations one day
Most of the classical books are not available in Pakistan. Even if they are available, they are in such bad condition or print, that you don't feel like reading them.
Serseh i love u for the sake of Allah. I promise this year, I will read these books and I will also tweet my thoughts and what I learned from them. I wanted to ask. Can you recommend fictional books. I want to read Dostoevsky, I was wondering if you have fiction recommendations. Salaam!
I watched every YT video there ever was on Shaykh Hasan Spiker's "Things as they are". I swear I lost half my mind trying to understand it XD. Then I gave the book a chance, gave up 3 times and could hardly get through the introduction. Then I stumbled upon Abdurrahman Mihrig's article in which he was critiquing key concepts within "Things as they are" and, judging by what I understood from the article, it made me tune out even more with The Book. Really broke my heart to be honest
To read and understand “Things as they are” there are couple of prerequisites to follow. First one is The Meta-Ethics of Kant as discussed in his “Critique series”. Second one is The Metaphysics of Aristotle but the problem is, to understand those two prerequisites ,you need another prerequisites so to tackle that, Brother Shershah’s recommendation in those Initial 10-15 minutes of this episode would suffice..
I think you should also consider 1. Aquinas Book by Edward Feser 2. The Crucifixion and the Qur'an: A Study in the History of Muslim Thought by todd lawson 3. Invisible people - harsh mander
Ma sha Allah, amazing list. May Allah give you success. Although I've not read much philosophy, would suggest you to have a look at "Islam Between East and West" by Alija Izetbegovic. I felt it to be a wonderful book. I think it may become part of this list.
the problem with most people is that they jump into philosophy like by reading the subjective works of Plato, Hegel, and Schopenhauer without understanding the logic and end up accepting the ideas of philosophers as they are without critically evaluating them.
Can you kindly make a video on how you manage to read so much while having computer science as your major and learning arabic as well, just kinda like a general guide to productivity, also do you earn or not? I didn't ask the question to demean in any way just curious how you manage your time and how much time you have in your hands?
Sir you have recommend interesting books regarding to philosophy. But what about the Islamic scholars who belonged from subcontinent I believe that they are one of the main scholars in Islamic history and contributed a lot regarding in understanding Islam ( like Maududi, Abul Kalam Azad, Ashraf Ali Thanwi, Farahi, Amin Ahsan Islahi, Abdul Majid Daryabadi, Sheikh Sirhindi, Dr Israr, Ahmed Raza Khan Barelivi RA)
Hello Shershah khan Mera cousin abhi UK gya hai aur kuch dinon mein aa jaye ga Kya aap muje kuch philosophical books ki list bta skty hain jo mein magwa skun udr sy orr jo idr sy na milti hon?? Thankyou
you should also read "The Path to Virtue: The Ethical Philosophy of Al-Raghib Al-Esfahani." if you are reading Nietzche...bcz your Islamic books don't contain any on Islamic moral philosophy....abu raghib influenced and shaped ghazalis thought...
Nice collection. the oxford handbooks are really expensive here 🤕 And if any muslims are planning to go through this i recommend to learn and strengthen their aqeedah first.
Yes. But aqida is also dependent on Islamic philosophy (kalam). Philosophy is not something negative or wrong. We have our own understanding and tradition of philosophy and throughout history, scholars explained their aqeeda in philosophical terms. Iqtisad fil itiqad is a theology and aqeeda book by Imam Ghazali and it is filled with rational philosophical arguments for God’s existence
@@_titanslayer_ yes i agree (except for the first part; aqeedah isnt dependent on philosophy of any kind, it may be strengthened through it but its independent in the form of revelation). Im simply saying that we as muslims should go through aqeedah as revealed through Qur'an and hadeeth of the prophet *first*. Theres nothing wrong with then going through the books u mentioned. It actually helps strengthen faith. But only if done in that order. Otherwise u better than me can imagine how the ideologies and philosophies of the "skeptics" on various foundational matters can incite some harmful doubts in people, especially todays post modern young muslims.
Hey serseh you mentioned that you study computer science so I rlly feel tempted to ask, what makes a guy like you who likes philosophy choose it cuz I'm kind of in the same boat like you ?
