I remember being invested when I was about 8ish and tbh quite honest it was the first time I remember being scared/nervous of something. But apart from our Akela who was the most wonderful, lovely lady most of the other adults were our school dinner ladies who were nice too. It was a fun time. Very happy memories.

@@IgaAndShira I'm still beaver leader, planning on getting my nights away permit renewed in March. We restarted our group from scratch in September due to closing from 2020-2021 😊 so far so good

the only thing we do different is get each sixer to introduce their cub when they bring them up and then afterwards they put the woggle on

You could have the youth wear a white scarfe, for several meeting, before they are invested. You slip over your group scarve, and remove the white scarve, keeping the group scarve on the youth. This system can also be used, if they join another group. Remember.......WE BE ONE BLOOD....YE AND I.

She ( AKELA ) should have had another leader, next to her, hold, and give her the scarve. This way......she" WOOD " never had to turn her back and walk away from the youth.
