Adding XRAY into the mix would be cool, but I would be happy to see the newest TLR, AE, and Tekno kits compared in a shootout.... would also love to see that done in regards to racing those on dirt, but that may have to come from a different channel...

Why can’t they update the manual?

I've never put an R/C together and have always gone the RTR route. The B74 looks way too cool for me to pass up and I was wondering, since it doesn't come with tires, where do you get tires for it? Does the manual explain the size needed? What about the tools that are required?

Any online or local hobby shop will sell the wheels and tires for this. J Concepts makes reasonably priced wheels (B6 or B74 size/offset) and the tires will be standard 1:10 4WD Buggy fronts and rears (choose style based on your application - carpet, clay, etc and compound depending on how long you want them to last - medium will last longer with less grip, soft or super soft will be grippier but wear out).
Tools wise, it comes with some tools but a good hex driver set (1.3mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, and 2.5mm) makes things a lot easier. You will also need body scissors and a body reamer as well as probably some flush cutters and a small file as well as a cheap set of calipers to set up the links (if the length is specified like Losi kits are).

What type of wheels are you going to slap on this thing? Just got the email from A Main that my pre-order has shipped so I want to make sure I get the correct sized wheels. Thanks again for putting these videos out I find them entertaining and informative. Keep up the good work.

It's made for B64/B74 wheels, but I'm going to run 4mm front hexes and Schumacher wheels because I have a whole ton of them already.

Man, the 22x-4, EB410.2, AND NOW the B74.1D really have me torn as to what might be the best 4mod to build for springtime.... where I live there isn't currently an indoor track for winter, just outdoor dirt in summer, and it's all 1/10 & 1/8 together, so my son and I are transitioning into 4wd buggy and 4wd trucks...
TLR and AE not making a truck based off their 4wd buggy platforms has us leaning towards the Tekno kits... and he has picked up an EB410 used , as well as plans to be building his ET410.2 between now and the holidays. I may also go with Tekno just to make parts less of a juggle to keep on hand... especially for truck...I have a VT64 conversion at the moment...but am still torn as far as buggy goes, I've only ever raced AE, and the 22X-4 looks super sweet as well...
Thanks for the videos, looking forward to seeing more of the 74.1 soon.

Isaiah Furrow I’m building EB410.2 now and impressed with the fit and finish improvements over the EB410. IMO the Tekno kits are designed for dirt use. This new B74.1D I expect to do very well on dirt on kit setup. The TLR 22x4 only comes with center slipper so for dirt use factor in upgrade parts for adding a center diff. There is also a new 2021 XRAY XB4 and X-RAY makes a XT4 4wd mini truggy too. Plenty of choices for new high end off-road race cars and trucks.
