Scott, this is terrific! Thanks for this trip down memory lane 37 years after the fact (hard to believe that almost 4 decades have passed that quickly!). I was in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps and stationed at China Lake in the high Mojave Desert of California at the time. I remember vividly the slow speed chase up the 405 back on Friday, June 17, 1994 as it was broadcast on all of the TV channels. You're right about L.A. not honoring its history. Something here today will be most definitely be gone tomorrow. Our dear departed colleague, Vince Bugliosi, in "Outrgage: The Five Reasons Why O.J. Simpson Got Away With Murder", lambastes the prosecution for failing to play the audio tape to the jury and not introducing the "suicide letter" into evidence. Vince certainly knows whereof he spoke: As a deputy DA in LA County, Vince won 105 out of 106 felony jury trials (a 99% success record) and he secured convictions in all 21 of his murder trials. As Vince puts it in his book, with the literal Himalayan mountain of evidence against Simpson, the question is not how is possible for him to be guilty but, rather, how is possible for him to be innocent? Here's a hint: He's not. I've been to the Bundy crime scene and the location of the former house on Rockingham. It's a short drive point-to-point. When the pandemic is over, I look forward to taking your tour again and seeing these sites once more.

I always thought it was pretty sad that both Nicole's sister and her so-called friend didn't seem to have any problem with O.J. beating on Nicole as long as he was paying their bills. In an interview the sister said Nicole got $$ from O J. to pay for her tuition and dental work. I can't remember what the friend got.
That's not the point. Nicole needed to leave in order to stop him. But because she met him at 18 & was basically groomed, she didn't have the will within to get away.
@@samanthab1923 true, the problem was that Nicole loved him, even saying on her dying day he's her soulmate. She even said to her sisters she'll never remarry and have kids by another man, even after divorce. But I don't think she was groomed, at 18 a person is very young, but not a child anymore. He was 29. That's not a very large age gap. Many women start their relationships even before that age in high school. The problem was that he was abusive monster. Even some older woman in her situation would be helpless, because he was a charming celebrity who hid behind his fame.

No he has not admitted to the murders. It's not a question or mystery, it's just that people who talk of the case don't never wanted to be sued by OJ's team if they yack to the public that OJ murdered them,..and since he was acquitted, OJ would have a slander suit possibility to serve the ones stating he murdered them. OJ was almost flat broke after the millions spent on the legal team so the public needed to be cautious and just say "someone murdered" them , a lawsuit could have bankrupted someone who went on and on that OJ was the killer. and OJ needed money badly..ya just better safe than sorry.
Saw it on Google maps that the address is now 879, and the one next to it is 873, so, that's a dead giveaway, lol. Best joke I ever heard about this case - Steve Harvey: "That M'Fer was so guilty there was a Heisman Trophy in those bushes!"
You should've seen the intersection where the woman in the Beetle almost got hit by OJ driving his Bronco back home in a big hurry, without his headlights on. And she recognized his voice as he yelled at another motorist who was blocking the intersection and yelled "move! Move!" And Marcia Clark didn't use her testimony because she was paid $5000 by Hard Copy for an interview and Clark felt she couldn't use her testimony any more. Ironic because nearly everyone made money off doing interviews and it had nothing to do with her credibility as a witness !
I can't believe you made me laugh during this video! You ordered an OJ, hilarious! Thank you for covering this case. No matter what, I have ALWAYS said OJ is guilty!
Nicole Brown did not call the restaurant back and ask for Ron Goldman specifically, we know that from the testimony of the Mezziluna restaurant manager who did answer the call, Ron took it upon himself to deliver the glasses to Nicole as he knew Nicole prior and was familiar with where she lived
I remember this incident like it was just yesterday! I live in Winnipeg Manitoba and we were watching our television when the show was interrupted to tell us the police were chasing O.J. Simpson down the highway. My mom ran over to tell the neighbour and we all sat around the t.v. watching this Bronco going down the highway. That was history. @@bobbybrooks4826 For some reason I think he's talking about an earlier 911 call that Nicole made when O.J. was there threatening her. That call isn't mentioned in this video, so not sure why he's bringing it up.
Excellent observation. The 911 call was not ruled "inadmissible". To be sure, a 911 call an be admitted into evidence in every case. Every jury can listen to it regardless of whether the caller even testifies. So, it can be a powerful tool. It can also be used to impeach a witness. As I've stated elsewhere, this was an example of the unbelievable incompetence on the part of the prosecution to not introduce this, along with Simpson's "suicide letter". Marcia Clark and Chris Darden, who are good people, failed to prosecuted this case vigorously as advocates for the People of the State of California. The job of any prosecutor is to prosecute criminal defendants charged with a crime. You do that by introducing admissible evidence of that crime to the trier of fact (whether it's a judge in a bench trial or a jury in a jury trial). That didn't happen here and the result is that Simpson walked out of court a free man with a smile on his face as two precious souls were lying in the cold earth. Simpson was held accountable in the subsequent wrongful death actions brought by the Brown and Goldman families. Unfortunately, given that Simpson has moved to Florida (which has unlimited homestead) and his NFL pension (~$25,000/month) is protected from creditors per ERISA, the Browns and Goldmans will never be able to fully satisfy their judgments. But as Simpson is now persona non grata in most places, he has faced a reckoning of sorts.

Great video, Scott! Thank you for taking us along. RIP Nicole and Ron! ... I agree with you that there is no doubt in the mind of anyone reasonable who the killer was/is.. What a circus that trial was and the inability to convict someone so obviously guilty of a horrible crime. Thanks again!
Guilty man doesn't run to the police - which OJ did. Without his attorney. Listen to the interrogation he thinks Nicole was shot.
Wasn't O.J
yeah...he really looked like he was running TO the police during the 'slow speed Bronco chase' on that Fri. 6/17/94 - w/thousands in $, a disguise and armed. 😂

@@goodowner5000 OJ insisted the police draw his blood. Those dirty cops would only interview OJ if his attorney was NOT present. Which OJ allowed. A man who just committed a DOUBLE MURDER doesn't do this.
Guilty or not, I would never go to the police without an attorney. Plenty of innocent people have gotten locked up for thinking that cooperating will help clear your name. And plenty of guilty people assume that if they cooperate it’ll take suspicion off them. Being compliant does little to prove innocence.
You and your channel are very underrated …Excellent work… Are you still doing the tours around LA…I’d like to experience the tour one day!!!
Great video as always. Ironically I watch this on the morning after the news of Norm MacDonald's death. I can't help thinking about Norm on SNL weekend update the episode after the verdict came down, "This just in: Murder is now legal in the state of California!" Classic stuff. RIP Norm MacDonald, Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Scott I went on the graveline tour over to Nicole's place with you driving. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had. In fact I think you added time to the tour to see some other stuff. You took us to the famous Farmer's market and let us walk around. Thank you! I'm sure you don't miss LA though.
Scott, please cover the Zodiac killer! Your attention to detail would be perfect for that case!
Oh my gosh, YES! Scott should totally cover the Zodiac Killer! Dude!
God rest the souls of Nicole and Ron. Love and prayers to both families always ❤️🙏
And God rest the soul of OJ Simpson the husband who decapitated the mother of his children. Hell is too good for him
I know this is serious subject matter... But when he says "as ya do" about Ron getting all cleaned up to return the glasses... It's just a crack-up!🤣😂But seriously RIP to the poor victims.
I was 16 when this happened. I worked at a grocery store and I will NEVER forget the gory pictures on the front of the gossip rags. Can’t believe they showed that.
One of the many channels needs to give Scott Michaels and Michael Dorsey the opportunity for their own TV show. They're that good 👍
If nothing else screamed guilty, the bronco "chase" certainly did.
He and cowlings belong in prison.
Already accused by mainstream social media, involved in a murder investigation
Simpson couldn't avoid being a moving target
He was already condemned as guilty.
He was already questioned and released at that point
Evidence was planted on July 3
That was great. Could’ve watched an hour more of this. Thanks.

NOT RIGHT
So very well done. Just excellent.

Oh, Scott we do love you! ❤️
It was Sunday June 12,1994. Not Friday
I like how You explained this better then anyone very specific
OJ has already admitted to it. Why is this still a question or a mystery?
No he has not admitted to the murders. It's not a question or mystery, it's just that people who talk of the case don't never wanted to be sued by OJ's team if they yack to the public that OJ murdered them,..and since he was acquitted, OJ would have a slander suit possibility to serve the ones stating he murdered them. OJ was almost flat broke after the millions spent on the legal team so the public needed to be cautious and just say "someone murdered" them , a lawsuit could have bankrupted someone who went on and on that OJ was the killer. and OJ needed money badly..ya just better safe than sorry.
@@ryanfgrantjr3009 Oh grow up Ryan, you DONT WRITE A BOOK CALLED IF I DID IT , if you are innocent!!

Best joke I ever heard about this case - Steve Harvey:

Your commentary is always good but it was especially so for this piece. 😀

Excellent.. that 911 call was pretty creepy. 27 years ago.. damn! I was hoping to see a mailbox though!
Vincent Bugliosi had said that if 90% of all the evidence was thrown out, oj would still get the death penalty.
That's true, if he had been guilty.

The tension had been going on for years.
WHY was the tape not allowed in court??
Perhaps it could be misconstrued by the jury as being a confession. I mean it is almost like he is saying that he is sorry about killing her, deserves to die because of it and the chase, and wants to be with her. I mean if I was a juror, I would be thinking, "Why would an innocent man run?" Especially one with the best attorneys money can buy. His attorneys probably fought to keep it out because his miranda rights weren't read to him and therefore, he wasn't given the opportunity to stay quiet or have his attorney(s) present when he spoke to the police on the phone and said the things he said.
