Thank you for this Ania! I've been trying to earn a full time wage as a freelancer too and I promised myself that I will achieve more this year but life happened and I fell off since May, I felt like I'm back to 0. I'm slowly recovering now and planning my 2025 goals, and hopefully I'll make it next year 🥺 Excited to join your discord group too! been waiting for it since you announced 😄
It happens! Reflect on what the trigger was for you to fall off in May. Don't worry, I have fallen off too a few weeks during this pursuit- it's a normal part of the process but the most important thing is to catch yourself in those moments and dig deeper to find the triggers to prevent it from happening again. Thank you for your support 🌷
Always such relatable content Ania ! Being a freelancer myself , it’s so refreshing seeing and hearing your content! Congrats to you on all things you’ve accomplished throughout your journey. I can’t wait for what 2025 has in store for us all. 🥳🙌🏾
Thanks so much Ania for this video. It is really motivating to watch this as someone who is in the same journey as you of becoming a full-time freelancer, and it is really refreshing to hear that persistance pays off. I recently did start my YT channel too, and I hope that it is gonna work out some day. Wishing you nothing more than luck! Greetings from Spain!
Yes it can be really difficult, and I am not perfect either. As long as you don't lose that drive or focus over a long period of time, it really does pay off 🙏 remember to be kind to yourself
Omg , yes I felt this comment the most. It’s exhausting being consistent but in the end , it’s truly worth it. I know that’s why it’s also best to invest in tools that’ll automatic somethings for you so the consistent part isn’t as dreadful. Hope all is well for you.
started watching you in the beginning of your journey and you have inspired me a lot. I have always been an artist even as a kid and I have felt so lost in corporate careers and jobs because it is not what I want to do long term. I just graduated college (literally on the 14th) and I am trying my hardest to kick start everything. Photography, art, and graphic design, all of which I am passionate about, but have honestly felt silly and shameful for dreaming of doing full time because I have been told its not realistic. I am setting my goals starting now before the new year and you have been the biggest inspiration!! Thank you!
Also, would love to see a video about the technical side of starting your freelance business (budgeting, the actual cost of getting started, even how to film content and market yourself as an artist) I think I am getting hung up on that and would love more specifics and details!!
Congratulations on graduating!!! Class of 2024 lets go 🫂 you still have so much time ahead of you to kick off those pursuits. I know exactly how you feel about it being told that it's "not realistic". Your dream of pursuing these exact things is no different than a person wanting to work for XYZ company in a non-design related field. So happy for you that you're setting goals for the new year!
Im soon to be 30, working a job i dont like.. this october i started learning about graphic desing and i feel like i found my long lost passion. Now im at the point where im thinking about quitting my job and wanting to open my own buisness/start freelancing, but at the other hand i must admit im scared, scared im not good enough..that i wont have any clients.. i just feel really lost somehow and idk what to do.. Been following you channel for some time, thanks for keeping it real. Also joined discord. :) Happy holidays to everyone!
Happy holidays! Isn't it a beautiful thing to discover a long lost passion that you may have never considered or foreseen before? I'm really happy that graphic design potentially could be that for you. With proper planning, research, dedication and a confidence boost, you can do it. Before you quit your job, I'd recommend trying to see if you can work on it enough to gain that confidence- even if it's just a little bit of a boost. Good luck!
Hi Ania, ive been a silent viewer until now. Graphic design presented itself to me as a class in my 3rd year of high school, grasped my attention and ive been following that path ever since. However it has been really difficult as a college student as I am physically disabled and navigating both core and art classes on an inaccessible campus is not really ideal for me and the times i had to sit out for a semester in the past two years (i'm currently sitting out yet again) gave me the opportunity to do my own research and it hasn't swayed me from the career of being a graphic designer. You and so many other design channels have given me the motivation to strive to my goal as a freelance graphic designer. I've rambled on long enough so i'm going to end it here if you or anyone else is still reading this.
Hi darling! Thank you for this comment. I think it's a clear sign that after a few years and you are still dead set on graphic design, it could be a great career path for you. There's no hurt in trying these things and feeling them out to see if it is a fit for you. And if not, it's never too late to try something else! Good luck 🍀🫂
Just found you yesterday and already binge watched all your videos 😂. It’s so awesome to see so much progress and such a small amount of time! I start my junior year next month and am perusing an art degree, but I honestly am really feeling going down the freelance graphic design route. I can say, we are so alike with the burnout, the years of wasting time doom scrolling, imposter syndrome. I got tricked into those get rich quick digital marketing courses and I failed so hard. Really made my self worth & confidence posting online go way down but I’m going to work on it. I already made a list of goals for myself to start the new year. Thank you for showing up because this is really helping other people who are scared to start ❤
I'm so happy to hear that you are finding the confidence to post online again after trying! There will always be trials & errors in everything that we pursue, it's a part of the process- and an important one. Good luck, with time it'll become easier and easier. I appreciate this comment so much, thank you for sharing 💗
I'm just about to start out my journey to become a freelancer in graphic design and hopefully turn it full-time. Initial reactions are scared, nervous and anxious but I'm optimistic that if I put in enough time and effort I'll do it. You've shown me Ania, that with enough passion and perseverance things like these can happen given enough time so thank you for being an inspiration!
This is a very kind message, thank you for writing this to me. You got this- I know it can be daunting at first but over time you will know what you need to do. Otherwise, I'll be here in the comments :) Good luck 🍀🫂
Love you Ania, your content is super inspirational! I've started freelance graphic design pretty much when you started the channel and it's been super motivating to see you thrive!!
Always love you video, your thoughts and journey. Actually I'm now at the stage starting, I just graduated in engineering and I really want a creative job. But yet I have no confidence to start at all I keep overthinking everything and I'm scared

It's scary, but with big changes and trying something different it will never feel comfortable. Take it as a learning experience.
