Six Jeeps tackle Horseshoe lane (Bastard lane) | Wales Green Laning

- In this video we are finally out green laning after the longest lockdown in the UK was eased. It was time to dust the cobwebs off our Jeeps and enjoy a bit of adventure off the beaten path. We decided to visit Wales and one of our favourite lanes - Horseshoe Lane, also known as Bastard Lane near Machynlleth. Some of our friends who couldn't be there last time we drove this track were keen to drive it this time around. In our group this trip we have four Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicons and two Wrangler JKs.
This is our first video after a long break from filming off-roading trips so we are a bit rusty, nonetheless we still hope you enjoy the video.

Haha, see what you did there! It certainly has its moments. For us the worst is the possibility of bad scratches on the bank just by the waterfall. The rest is just enjoyable stuff.
I'm very familiar with all these lanes. Horeshoe lane is no walkover, so fair play you doing it with really expensive vehicles. The off camber sections are becoming much worse though, so perhaps the time has come for me to no longer drive it entirely solo (no spotter!) in a stock 1959 Series II Land Rover......
Great edit and production as always, although for me the sountrack is distracting to the point of mild irritation.

Were a couple of the Jeeps running Beadlocks? What sort of pressures are you airing down to? Do you have any plans to run Bastard Lane in the other direction?
Oh, and of course, what is happening with the CJ?
Thank you 🙂 We aired down to 20psi for this lane. None of us are running beadlocks, there are a couple with trim rings though. We will run the lane up hill if the VRO is lifted for up hill travel, but really can't see that happening. The CJ is a long project haha.
