The AU-AM100 from Maono is the second all-in-one podcasting solution I have had the chance to review. This one is more robust and includes upgraded XLR inputs and a solid all-metal condenser microphone. This battery-powered mixer is perfect for taking on the go to record podcasts, UA-cam content, gaming streams, and zoom calls. It has multiple outputs and inputs for connecting a wide variety of devices. It also has built-in effects and samples to really polish off your show. It gets a big two thumbs up from me!

hello I have a little concern about my maono au am100, because once the battery bar is decrease, then suddenly the battery bar is increased in a while, even though i did not charge it...pls help...
i connect my new maonocaster 100 but my mac doesn't see it !also is there ne continuous light on when you press power because the mix and mic play for a second up and down and only the red light decide the battery is on . thank you in advance

Hey there! So I've watched this video and other Maono videos from you, I have googled and googled looking for an actual answer, but one reviewer of the AM100 Caster, said that this product paired with other microphone's does not have good enough preamps. Can you shed any light on this, cause I just ordered the standalone am100 and an audio Technica AT2020. I'm afraid that it's all going to be a waste of money and I am going to fall flat on my face with going from a USB mic to a XLR setup for my streams.

If i using my computer to broadcast live (Radio) how can i control the music level? for example i have a song playing in the computer i want to talk how can i control de usb input level. So i now i can use a second computer via input line but in this case i want to use only one computer and this device.
Why is there no Equalizer in this AM100 ???
Good unit, but there is a glaring problem. The mic volume is cranked all the way up telling me that the preamps are garbage. Couple that with the mix volume at 3/4's of the way. It just seems like a toy instead of a pro piece of hardware like the Rode Podcaster or even the Tascam.

The noise gate seems to be complete garbage. This should be one of the most important thing in such device targeted for people on the road or without treated rooms. Can you set at least a treshold somewhere? As any other noise gateway does? Thumb up for the review anyway!
Have been using the AU 200 for a few months, just ordered the 100. I wanted the phantom power and XLR inputs. I hope the 100 works as well or, better than the 200

@@hiazhar2008 I like both but, if you are going to use condenser mics you will want the 100. Has phantom power and more gain. If you wanted portable I would have said the 200
@@dalebishop2632 thanks for the reply, the 100 is not yet available in my country, I'll have to find a way to source it and the 200 comes without a microphone in the box, so I'm kind of stuck. Can the 200 be used with a USB microphones?
When I record into GarageBand the playback doesn’t have the applied effects in that I used in the recording. I can hear it through my headphones when I’m recording but when I play it back it’s not there
Same issue here.try to sing also using reverb effects with background music you hear it in your monitoring good but outcome of record no effects.

for the record to anyone who may have same question.
Loop switch is to loop every thing back into the record (if loop switch off or in case of normal soundcard, only your mic will send back to computer.) Example situation; you open youtube in computer and you want to mix your voice in same audio steam. If you dont use this function, you need to mix everything as the single steam again in soundcard. It's good for steamer or boardcaster because what's you hear (from mixer) is what you get (in live steam). Adjust mixing from console is more convenience than multiple click for sound setting in computer. (Think about you're twitc steamer and you want to adjust mixing between gaming session.)
Would this be a good alternative to a goxlr if you are gaming and streaming on twitch or UA-cam? This would be the only thing I’m missing in my setup right now
No not at all. It doesn’t really work with a computer, I don’t understand why UA-camrs are not being truthful with reviews

@@oogbigworm I use it with my console just fine because goxlr and rodecaster won't work with them. And its been fine with my computer as well. I don't understand why Camino said it won't work. A rodecaster or a goxlr will be a better choice though but youre going to pay the premium for them.

Can you use your phone only to podcast with this mixer?
It does see the output of a phone just to play what the phone is playing. But it can't do a two phone call between the operator & the caller properly. It does not do a mix minus as Maono adv on their description. You'll get feedback. A feature that could have easily make happen instead of all these cheesy fx pad. They could have included a true aux send & return @ the back of unit.

No bluetooth support
I'm shocked that there's no low, mid, and high controls, even the Maonocaster Lite has them.
It doesn´t work with garageband...
