Jin is called the Nation's son in Law in Korea for a reason 😂 Not only old women like him, he is also a hit with old men. He has a lot of old uncle celebrity friends, some of whom he met whenever he guested in Korean variety shows like that chef he always sends gifts to, the host from Please Take Care of my Fridge loves him, and most of his older guy friends he usually spends time fishing with them 😂 Such an old guy hobby. Once you watch the Bon Voyage series in Malta and Hawaii you'll see him interact with random strangers.

I don't see any comments saying this so I'll write this down. Actually Jin did wanted to play with the rest of the boys and was suppose to be a student. There was suppose to be no teacher. But in the morning they were suppose to shoot this, his leg muscles got stiff or cramped I am not sure which one. So he couldn't do the P.E part of the episode. So they decided to make him the M.C or the teacher. He was really sad about it. He talked about it in his vlives.

1:26:57 This is such an iconic scene, because out of the three maknaes (youngests), V often is the one who gets his hyungs (older brothers) to do the most random shit with him. Jungkook likes teasing them and letting out his extra energy with them (usually randomly tapping or dancing around them), Jimin fluctuates from wanting/sharing affection and having a rivalry relationship with them - and V is the one who gets his exasperated older brothers to agree everytime with just a look! There’s a lot of debate around BTS’ military service at the movement as they are reaching the age where they might have to enlist soon if they are not exempt. Also, Mandatory military service is only for men in South Korea
They're just so effortlessly funny, especially when they get competitive with each other 😂 I think you guys would love ep. 110-111 where they play treasure hunt in Hyundai's motor studio and ep. 87-88 which is basically a giant game of ''secret tag''! (technically it should be ep.86-88 but ep.86 is a warm-up game where they collect stickers for the game that they play in ep. 87-88 and it can be hard to follow for non-Korean speakers since the it's about the Korean language and alphabet but it's still fun so check it out if you're interested! Just letting you know it's not necessary to understand the game in ep.87-88). They're honestly some of my favorite episodes, the members get so competitive, especially in the secret tag and the price in the treasure hunt is hilarious 😂 Highly recommend!

as a musician it's really cool to see BTS reading sheet music. I can see some of them can read it well and that's really cool. I expected Suga, RM, and V to read it well (v played the saxophone) but was pleasantly surprised by J-hopes sightreading skills :)

Most Korean schools rank you numerically based on your academics, they will literally have a number one student and a number 300 publicly listed. So Jimin being number 1 in his class is a big deal.

If you ever wanted to learn Korean, they Hangul alphabet is actually quite easy! It usually only takes around an hour 💕 but Actually learning the language and all the grammar and honorifics is very difficult though 😅
It's very helpful to know at least a little hangeul, like when sometimes captions are missing or when they put up a scoreboard without pictures, you can easily read the hangeul to know who's who 😂😂

Muk-Jji-Ppa (Muk-Chi-Pa) is a variant of the two-player game rock paper scissors. Each person starts with a regular rock paper scissors game. The current winner has to say their next hand and change their hand to the corresponding one. This is usually done by shouting. The point is to get your opponent to make the same hand as you and then you win. However, if your hands don't match, the new winner then calls out their next hand and the process starts over. Both parties then call out the next two possible once someone wins.
we have mandatory military service in egypt too (only for men) but it gets laxer / strictier depending on the number of recruits the military needs each years . and there are quite a few exception clauses like if you are studying abroad , overweight ,underweight ,only child ....

A Melodika was the first instrument I learned wehen I started at 5 years old, I think it's a fearly good instrument to start with because after that you can learn almost every instrument. Like a flute or trompet as well as Klavier.

I think it was basically a spelling game. At least from my limited knowledge of Korean, it seemed like they were supposed to guess whether the highlighted word was spelled correctly or not and if not then they were trying to guess what the correct spelling is. Honestly, it's comforting to me as a Korean learner to know that even native speakers don't always get the spelling right 😂

this is cos is very but rlly very common to see that korean people often write korean words as well as their sound and is often wrong, so that's why this game is probably difficult to sum ppl

I don't speak Korean but there are some basic things I picked up that can help you to better understand the pronounciation when looking at the words (the romanization of the words that is): vowels are more pronounced like vowels in Spanish than in English, so "u" is pronounced more like "oo" and if you have an "e" infront of another vowel like "-eu-" or "-eo-" the "e" is actually silent. I think as an English speaker you'd most likely struggle with the vowels
Both Jimin and Jungkook took marital arts for years, They both have a black belt in Taekwondo, Suga has a red belt in Taekwondo, both Jimin and Jungkook also have highest belts you can get in Kendo and some other marial arts , I can't remember right now , and Jimin is taking Boxing lessons now.

I knowwww 😭 I’ve been commenting for the longest time to switch over to weverse for episodes that are above 86- current and they have mentioned weverse on a past reactions and they just haven’t and sometimes they would I mean I wouldn’t call it complain but kinda of like what translations mean since on vlive it just translates the pronunciation and not actual translations and they would also understand a lot more of what they say and jokes 🥲 it’s really not that hard to watch them on weverse and they would understand the subtitles and what they say a lot more and have less questions and doubts if it translated wrong 😭

Our public schools also wore uniforms.. but gosh I hated high school because even on extremely hot days we had to wear our blazers otherwise you get detention.. I never bought myself a blazer I would just go to school in the school jersey I saw punishment everyday from grade 8 right through to matric but I did not care
I know no one asked but here's a short rundown on the drama about BTS and their military service:
Serving is a huge thing in Korea, and many people take pride in it (of course, it is illegal to avoid it, but still it's a huge ego thing for the men to have served). BTS want to do it and have *never* stated that they want to be exempted simply because they've done so much for their country. ARMYs will support whatever BTS and HYBE (their company) decides on, so long as the best interest of the boys are always prioritized. *The Korean government wants to give them an exemption and most Koreans agrees with that* (This isn't the first time someone will be exempted. National athletes have been before, and BTS is undoubtedly the biggest thing to have come out of South Korea. So the public thinks they more than deserve the exemption) *HOWEVER* jealous K-pop companies have actively worked against this, simply because they think it's unfair for their idols and groups. The rules of exemption are still being discussed, but one version of it before was that only artists who have received the *Order of Cultural Merit* (an award by the government) can be exempted. Other companies fought against that because they said it would be impossible for them (BTS is the only K-pop group to have received that to this day). While fighting for it, they argued that the biggest K-pop acts must be exempted, using BTS as an example in their petitions, despite not inviting HYBE (Big Hit, at the time) to their meetings. These companies are basically saying, "If we can't all be exempted, no one should be." Ignoring that BTS *far surpass* the success their groups have ever and will ever have. The latest and most relevant update about this issue is that the plan would most likely be this: BTS will go together as 7 members, rather than one by one (you must serve before or during 30 years old, and groups typically lose a member while that person does their military service). That's the ideal plan, if not that, then in groups. Military service is short, about 1-2 years, but in a group as big and important as BTS, losing one or two members for that period of time is crucial and will have some effects.
Also, fun fact: Thailand has military service too! But their system is far more fun (in a way). This is simply from my observation and understanding while watching it, so someone correct me but:
Rather than it being compulsory for everyone, a certain number of men is needed every year. Volunteers will mostly fill that number, but a draw will still be done for the empty spots. Men line up and wait for their names to be called so they can get physical and health checks. If they pass those, they are listed for the draw. Once you're in, your name will be announced and you will wait as they draw for you, either a black card (means you're exempt) or a red card (2 year service). A Thai idol in a K-pop group, called Bambam, once went viral when his draw was being done, because all the K-pop fans literally forgot about fanwars for a moment and trended #BambamBlackCard in hopes that he gets exempted. Turns out, the draw wasn't needed, because enough men volunteered! I don't know about the other countries, but I believe women can volunteer in both SK and Thailand.

The rock, paper, scissors game you were confused by is Muk Chi Pa. It's not about how many rounds you play. You play a standard round of rock, paper, scissors and in the next round if your choice matches the person who won the previous round, then you lose. If it doesn't match and you win the round with your choice (e.g. you played rock and they played scissors), then the same rule applies to the next round (e.g. if the loser matches the winner's next throw, they lose).
V has a solo song called Winter Bear.

BTS military service is an open debate right now. The Korean government has not yet said if they will give them special treatment or something, although they should do it soon because Jin will reach the maximum age to enter the service (30 years old) in December. Still, BTS has said many times that they are ready and anytime they would do it if they are called to do it.

The language game is tricky because the structure of Hangul (Korean language) is different at a foundational level than English. It's a language that was created so it's much more like each syllable is a block that has an independent meaning and you put them together into longer groups of syllable to create words out of those syllable concepts. Because of this you can build new words out of concept/syllable blocks. And while most are just like common words, there are so many possibilities and combinations (especially given that some words can have like 6 syllables or more) that it's not abnormal to come across a word you don't know. New words pop up to describe new situations or things all the time. And because the pronunciations are similar (even to them--the boys constantly have to remind each other to be careful of pronunciation to avoid faux pas or will ask the other's to repeat to make sure they heard right), it can be tricky to know what the new word is upon hearing it the first time especially because there are a number of similar sounds in the Korean alphabet. The ch/j/jj or the s/ss or the t/tt/d are really just small differences in tongue placement and air flow. And the alphabet is smaller (they have one character each that represents the equivalent of our r/l, our d/t, and our k/g plus they have no f or v sound) so there's less variety of sounds. So you kind of have to figure out the syllables based on context clues. That's why Yoongi asked about the origin. What does the word mean --> which syllable blocks make sense --> what might the new word be? Idk if that's helpful.
