This is so cool, and it's so wholesome to see you guys shouting out other Memphis promotions too. Really old school feel with the shots of fans eating nachos and yelling at the heels!
It has been long overdue for Memphis Wrestling to have their own studio again. If studio pro wrestling works for NWA Powerrr in Atlanta, Georgia, why not Memphis, Tennessee? It helps having wrestling legends like King Cobra and Jerry Jarrett make special appearances to help the promotion on its feet for a new generation of wrestling talent. Nice surroundings. Eric McMahon (any relation to the infamous one who wanted the whole wrestling world for himself for decades?) and Hollywood Jimmy Blaylock look like useful managers. There's something about territorial wrestling that makes it more exciting than what you would see with AEW and WWE. I noticed it with SWE Fury Wrestling in Texas and NWA Powerrr. Perhaps you have an answer to that.
Great show wrestling is great when it's territorial but the best thing about your show is that you do it right as far as you interview the wrestler and let them talk trash through the interview as opposed to just getting in the middle of the ring and talking trash to someone who's in the back, which I cannot stand. They are professionals they don't always need some bad blood or history to justify their intensity or interest in a match and by letting there be a simple competition side to it the feuds that do arise carry more weight and aren't played out like in a certain promotion who had to change their name around 2000
I'm a week late, but I'm throwing my two cents in. Doesn't Alan Steel have a point that the promotion has been disrespectful of his nascent title reign? Love him or hate, Mr. Steel did win the Grind City Rumble 1, 2, 3 to close out the show. Not having even been formally presented the championship by Jerry Jarrett, the "office" already booked Mr. Steel into a title match with the Gun Show? With all due respect to Brett Michaels, what has done to earn a title match mandated and enforced by the front office? Yes, he won the Cobra Cup. If that is an annual tournament, does the winner of that always earn a shot at the championship? If not, Gun Show didn't cover himself in glory during the Grind City Rumble, Action Jackson has a better claim as the runner up of that match. As the champ, isn't Mr. Steel owed some deference in to whom, when, and where he defends the title? I think Alan Steel is right that Dustin is exercising nefarious influence behind the scenes... I wouldn't put it past Alan Steel to pull a Riddick Bowe.
He's going to join the marines for a week?
Just a guess the grey bearded dude wrestling in street clothes looking like an old backyarder is either the booker or money mark
You need to educate yourself on WHO Alan Steel is. 🧐
