Amen 🙏
Must say I liked Icelandic version more, but I'm not complaining this winning
I wasnt too impressed with this one to begin with but having seen the performance i must say i prefer it to the winning dong, as much as i love and respect Hera Bjork. Excellent visuals and presentation and a rather catchy song that grows on you 👏 Good luck to all!
I need the results tomorrow. This year Söngvakeppnin smells so bad. Any way, thanks for all, Bashar ❤

RUV SELECT HIM INTERNALLY!
Love this song hope it wins to represent Iceland at Eurovision. ❤
Disappointed man. He should've won
Why?
😂😂😂😂😂
He was robbed. 💔
I'm not going to watch Eurovision this year without Bashar Murad, screw it. The song which got the first place is a damn joke in comparison, how the hell did that happen?! P.S. Many many love for Hatari and Bashar from Russia ❤ Andrean looks stunning on the stage!
Haha Iceland dropping down from betting odd
I'm shocked. How this song can't win?
The icelandic public apparently doesnt want to be involved in a political circus
@@christiangeimke2085 This song was number two, so apparently a lot of people liked it.
@@svalajonsdottir Actually at the end of January, when it was heard that Bashar would participate in the Iceland contest, Iceland's odds skyrocketed to number one without even knowing the song.
@@christiangeimke2085 You don't know the people of Iceland well. This only lost because Hera has a rabid fanbase who was willing to vote for her because they are fans of her regardless of how bad her song is.
@@jijitters don't pay attention. those clowns always think they are experts in everything they have no idea about.
We need him on Eurovision
Iceland, i do not really understand your choice. From being in top 5, you chose to be a NQ. Why?
Hi from Iceland! - I have no idea 🤔
u really dont understand? this song is boring as hell u guys like it cause he was born in palestina. If this went to malmo the song contest would became even more unfair. For the best of the contest, thank god he is not going
@@lampiaoalentejanoHe was born in Israel. He has an Israeli ID
@@triola3983 so what is the conection with palestine?parents?
@@lampiaoalentejano he is Palestinian, but Palestine is not recognized by everyone, and he must have ID, so I guess he has an Israelii
The chorus strongly reminds Nevermind by Dennis Lloyd
Yeeees! I thought the same thing!
Iceland, you made a mistake! This song is way better than the winner song !!!!

Imagine ditching a one-off opportunity to win Eurovision 2024…🙃
The live performance really makes the song, so good, go bashar
This should win. From being at least in the top ten in the final and passing the semi-final without any problems, they chose a song that for me will not fail to qualify further. Tragedy
Hera got 100K votes and Bashar 97K votes. Only if 3K people would have changed their mind
The voting was rigged. People's votes didn't get trough.
40 votes each person instead of 20 sudddenly. One person has family, relatives and friends here, the other doesn't. That's at least 4.000 votes right there.
... well .. this would have been a better choice for the ESC 2024 ...
Mark my words : he will be send to Eurovision because first place winner will decide not to compete in Eurovision after consultation with Icelandic broadcaster.
Is that a thing that happens often? I do not know Eurovision well (my country is not eligible) so I don't know how it works but I was very impressed by Bashar Murad's song and video.
@@ladycharlesmusic I don't think so. Apart from Italy, all national finals are clearly about who will go to Eurovision, so most winners don't change their minds and don't go. In Italy, it's different, the winner doesn't automatically go to Eurovision. But as far as I'm aware, that's the only country with this system.
Bashar deserved the win... I'm sad... Hera was great too but nowhere near like Bashar 😢
The best song didn’t win, I give up the Eurovision. FREE PALESTINE🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Such a modern and current song for 2024. Such a shame Iceland let politics come into play and choose a dated, horrible song that will likely get 0 points.
You nailed it!
Iceland you had one job...
And they succeeded
@@blair2383 yeah succeeded at sending the wrong song to Eurovision
Better than sending a boring song for political statement
@@blair2383 we sent the most boring song we could have sent.
@@blair2383 it wasn't boring or political though. It was literally a story about him coming to Iceland from Palestine just because he's from Palestine doesn't mean that it's political just because there's a war going on right now.

The sad truth is that esc is political contest than choosing a quality winner song nowadays. But to be honest, if we take political aside, I would choose this song over Hera Björk. Her song is boring, flat, repetitive and smells schlager 2000. Once again Iceland dont have the gut to send a country song, which is totally different than other schlager/pop I´ve heard from this years Söngvakeppnin. And I´am sure that audience would love him and place him in high position.
But anyways, I hope that Bashar try next year with a similar genre and win the competition.
Bashar is more political than Hera. Just by the staging and the title of his song
I keep my fingers crossed for victory 🎉
He must take part in Eurovision! I Like the song!
I'm just shocked! You are so racist Iceland!!
Didn't you choose him just because he is Arab??
I am disappointed you are a country of racists!!
🇵🇸❤️🇵🇸❤️🇵🇸❤️🇵🇸
My winner ✨
Should've won. Great song.
I don't understand why this didn't win❤
cause RUV rigged the vote!! people who voted for Bashar got their votes redirected to Hera to make her win!! we need to spread the message
Iceland, you had ONE job: THIS was THE song!!! WWW was EVERYTHING! Now Iceland is sinking in the betting odds. What a wasted opportunity!!!
we has on top of the ods not by his song and u know that
There are actually some rumors here in Iceland that RUV (the Icelandic broadcasting company that hosts songvakeppnin) MADE Hera win to avoid controversy
Iceland this was an opportunity for you to finally bring Eurovision in your country. Such a big mistake!!!!!! 🇮🇹
Yes, using other countries´ war as a tool to bring Eurovision to Iceland. No, thank you. Iceland made a good choice rejecting this political provocation.
Only because of politics, they're better off sending Hera and playing it fair
@@mawerick7965 really???
As if this song without voice would have scored anything.
Dont worry, he will come up with a better song with Hatari next year
hopefully 🙏🏻
HATARI is already disbanded
@@waomin for real? Didn't they just introduce a new member to fill the gap Matthias (?) left?
@@emdove not sure. But it's hard to fill Mathias in Hatari since h is the lead vocalist and everybody loves him.
@@waomin I agree with that, therefore, and since they aren't disbanded, it would be mutually beneficial for them to collab with Bashar on another song. Wouldn't be mad if it was for Eurovision 👀
Though it'd be hard to top Hatrid Mun Sigra, to be fair.
Shouldve won
Iceland had the opportunity to qualify and get one of their best results, since Europe like this song. But instead they decided to send a generic song that, probably, won't qualify from semifinal 1. Your choice Iceland, but you definitely failed to show the world this hit and to spread Bashar's message againist the unlawful Israeli occupation. Best of luck to Bashar's music journey. Free Palestine 🇵🇸
There is no occupation before 1948 it was British mandate and there was only British flag learn some history
