Gods the music is so damn perfect for this video. I especially love how you perfectly timed the video and music so that the big musical changes would occur when the trains change from surface-running to underground
Nice. I always remember, as a kid, riding into Harvard Sq. and how the train slows down and makes that god awful screeching noise 😂. No one on the train would ever react!
i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Terrell Antonio I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
What a great video! Even saw my house. Wish there was video from when the Red Line first extended into Quincy. Trains used to zip around that curve north of the North Quincy platform. It was pretty fun.
This is a very well presented time lapse video but the Bombardiers aren't going to be replaced by the CRRC's. The CRRC's are replacing the 1969-70 Pullman "Silverbirds" and then the 1980s UTDC "Redbirds".
i spent the first 5½ years of my life around boston and occasionally rode the red and green lines. i didnt know harvard station has two levels so it seemed like i was passing the same platform in both directions.
The funny thing is that you’d expect Central to be in downtown Boston and South Station to be south of Boston but actually, it’s South Station that’s in downtown Boston and Central is west of Boston.
I still don't understand what's exactly wrong with the Bombardier's. They don't seem that old and its technology still seems prominent. 2023 is too early to retire them, especially when the blue line received their shorter version in 2008. Somebody please educate me what the current problems are with the 01800s and the 0700s are.
So the 0700s aren't gonna be replaced shortly-they are still new enough. For the 1800s though I would envision them to be replaced later comparing to those Pullmans and UTDCs. The most urgent replacement now is on the orange line. In fact, we know that MBTA is not THAT quick in putting in new trains, so probably the 1800s still got a whole bunch of years to run
Thanks. I am not an MBTA employee, I'm just a railfan. Most subway trains in US offer a front view window and you may take a video if the operator agrees.
I never get tired of that voice its is an Icon to The T

Love that you included the face covering announcement
At least they aren't required anymore
@@justinlokereyeah it is because Covid wasn’t to serious anymore now
This intro is sooooooo good, Steve Haun made an amazing track
I spent most of my childhood living in Braintree and I vividly remember taking the red line all over the place, thanks for the memories!

I would react saying WHY SO LOUD WHYYYYyYyYy

@Terrell Antonio it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much you really help me out !
@Ishaan Wesley No problem =)
The cockpit view and the music were perfect. Though, Im really gonna miss the 1500 Pullmans. Great video.
The song is called “Presence of the Moment” guys just to let you know it is from Steve Haun.
Absolutely 🔥🔥🔥
The music is very epic! Enjoyed the ride.
This video makes the distance between Braintree and Alwife look so short bc I remember when I went down to Braintree and it took a hour by train
Now a days it take over an hour and a half
Awesome job creating this amazing Red line video! Beth
FANTASTIC vid. Thanks for making this.
Love the vid and the ride!
What a great video! Even saw my house.

I remember when Quincy Center was originally just Quincy!
@@EdwardM-t8p
I still use the old names. Quincy Square, Norfolk Downs, etc. Quincy Ctr is just the T station to me.
Nice video and great view out through the RFW
Best time lapse yet!! You should do station tours
My favorite line is the Red Line I rode it since my Childhood thank you for showing this
Music is fire! 🔥🔥🔥
I miss the old red line, it was my childhood

I think this was the train that passed by where I live because I saw a new red line pass by where I lived

The red line was the 1st line I have ever rode on
The new cars need noise generators. They're too quiet. You can't hear them coming.

wich series will the new boston trains on the red line replace
All older series
Braintree branch is 21 miles long. Ashmont branch is 17.5 miles.
0:35 start your engines, go!
how do you get clear announcements, i know im like 2 years late but i want those
Thank you so much for making these Kevin. We are so lucky! How do you get the cab view? Do you work for the mbta?
Thanks. I am not an MBTA employee, I'm just a railfan. Most subway trains in US offer a front view window and you may take a video if the operator agrees.
@@kevinhld5499 ahh I never even thought to ask. Thanks for sharing!
It’s 2024 and these old trains aren’t phased out yet
I heard there are only two fleets of the new red line cars. The orange line is perfect though.
You did the red line both ways. nice!
@Mikel Basurto are you talking about my channel?
You should do the C line next
If I could, I surely would :)
I know that quincy station I live next to there
Is the signaling system on the train itself?
The 1900s are the best
Where did you get all of the announcement sounds?
It was recorded with the microphone next to the train speakers
@@kevinhld5499 oh sick!
No idea if you’ll reply, but how do you get into the front??
I did not get into it - there is a window
@@kevinhld5499 ohhh thank you
Next time do normal speed please
South station is like north station with the silver line and no sports
Taken back when the trains were fast now they're slow
The DC system is far more modern.
Are you driving the train?
nope
The 1900s Arent replacing the 1800s there replacing the 1500 1600 and 1700s hundreds
the 2000s arent relacing the 1800s its just the 1500s 1600s and 1700s hundreds that getting replaced!
bombardier sad
Why?
Your an american are you
No, Kevin HLD is not an American that I know of.
1:04 is a female voice it makes me laugh
Do normal speed so we can enjoy the trip.
I will post a normal speed sometime before 1800s retire
