- Glen Arledge shares ways that the slingshot sport and community have helped in his diagnosis and journey of being on the spectrum while son Tony Arledge joins the conversation.
This episode is wonderfully genuine , heartfelt & enjoyable. We all share so many similarities. Loved shooting w/you all at Joe’s, AIM & HHST. Looking forward to ECST 2025!
Great show Andrew. Love these guys.
Thank you, sir. And they are great guys.
Yep, I met Glen and Tony at Hocking Hills. Just shooting and talking at the range. I am a talker, so I'll make up for the non-talkers 🤣🤣 Another father and son duo.👍😁 Hope they can make it to ECST.
I love seeing families involved in the sport.
Just got diagnosed at 44 and I understand and appreciate this so much, thanks. So sweet and genuine.
Gonna go sling a little clay with my Torque to celebrate.
Another great episode with great guests as always. Thanks, Andrew! 👊
I appreciate that!
I have met a lot of good people at Joe Stokes woods course in Indiana, Gleen and Tony are two of them!👍🏻
They are great guys and so is Joe for all he does for the community.
I love this channel I thinks it great
Thank you so much. That really means a lot to me. I think the community is full of stories that need to be told.
@axsomoutdooradventures I have, what you may consider a very stupid question but, in my devense Ive only been shooting for a couple months. I currebtly have $2 slingshot from the fleamarket and am shooting 3/8 stell ball barrings from same market. I'm making my pouches from different types and lkickness of leather pluse some other items. But, I'm expermenting so I may change bands half dozen times a day and several people say a pouch doesn't work right till it forms around the ammo. Am I doing wrong to keep changing bands? Thanks four video. Ive learned a lot which is why Im asking you
Thank you for the great compliments, and it isn't a stupid question at all. Pouches do shoot better, in my opinion, after they have worn a natural pit and some materials do this better than others. I applaud your DIY attitude and encourage you to never stop. But I will say, while you are learning, it might be good to explore some different pre-made pouches to see what styles you like and what materials you prefer. Pouches are cheap, and there are TONS to explore. Learning to shoot is hard enough without trying to learn pouch designing at the same time. Good luck, my friend.
@axsomoutdooradventures thank you for your time. One more question if you don't mind. Any suggestions for pouches for 3/8 steel ball bearings?
@nottelling4205 i like Snipersling Pouches. They have several good models that come in several sizes. GZK bra pouches are some of my favorites, too. And if you can find someone making Kangaroo leather pouches, those break in, especially nicely.
@axsomoutdooradventures thanks again for all your help.
