I make a similar dish. First cook 2+ lbs of macaroni. Drain and place into a suitable dish. Next, make a roux by melting 1 part butter, then slowly adding 3/4 part flour. Then gradually add milk.(1-1 1/2 cups) Once milk is incorporated, add onion powder, garlic powder and white pepper to taste.(Be generous!) Add 1/4 lb velveeta cheese sliced thinly and cubed to melt. Add 1 cup of breadcrumbs. Dust again with powders, then add another 1/4 lb of velveeta in thin slices. Repeat until 1 lb of velveeta is completely melted. Pour into dish with pasta and mix evenly. Top with shredded cheese and breadcrumbs. Add a sheet of foil and bake at 350° for 1-3 hours, turning regularly every 30 minutes (My oven time will differ from yours)
