  • In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Georges Lakhovsky describes the physics behind this magnetic sense of direction in his book, The Secret of Life, published in 1939

As a Apprentice machinist, I have been on the search for information relative to this. I occasionally run a manual 72in rotary flatness grinder. It uses a table that's an electro magnet to hold the steel to the table. And a 300hp 460v motor mounted directly to grinding stones and to actually see what your doing your head is literally 8inches away fron the motors center point on the side. I would get visual hallucinations of blueish/dark spots and very rarely i loose my balance and no one else seems to have had the experience in my shop. It never happens anywhere else it's just when I run that machine for more than a few hours.

So what you're saying is, if we can figure this out, we could make a new type of GPS that doesn't need satellites but works entirely off of very finely controlled magnetic fluctuations? Because that should work...

It's been done and is used by long-range reconnaisance aircraft and bombers

Why was one of the options not the magnet field those life forms generate?
    Magnetic fields can interact easily.
So maybe they are just more in tune with their magnet field?
That's now we can tell someone is looking at us when we are not aware by any of our classical senses.

There's so much we don't know about the brains funktions and yet we play around with digital signal procession that might AS Well destroy our cognitive abilities.

Very interesting. Most women are good at navigation. Does it mean that they have stronger magnetic field in them?

Since when are women better on average at navigating than men? What planet are you on?

I think I recall reading somewhere that women are better at remembering landmarks while men rely more on directions.

Women have excellent intuition, once they have children. Perhaps this has a magnetic explanation? Oftentimes, especially when my children were infants, I would feel jolts in my mind before they woke up and cried (and it wasn’t always at a predictable time).

No no that’s a social thing not a biological thing, plus our electro magnetic fields are really really weak like less then 100 hertz I believe.
