Hey guys, just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! I got my IELTS test results today and I scored an overall 8.5! I'm obviously very pleased with my band score and I couldn't have done it without your help! I watched several of your videos and they helped tremendously. Keep up the good work!

Answer to the question: Well, It’s hard to precisely tell, but according to my personal experience I tend to believe that TV advertisements are much more powerful than newspaper ads in many points. Basically TV commercials, unlike traditional ads in newspapers, are more attractive and eye-catching. In my opinion, the chances of grabbing someone's attention through an entertaining video ad on TV are much greater than in the case with the boring texts on newspapers. TV is also watched by many people which means you can reach more customers of your target, and so I think that TV ads are more powerful in this essence.

My exam is in a week. I'll surely be here to update you about the outcome :) Edit: I received my results today and I got band 8.5 in speaking. My advice to everyone who is preparing for the test is to follow the guidelines E2 is giving. Thank you so much, E2 ielts.
Hello E2 ielts. I just took my exam 2 days ago and I did all the preparation from your UA-cam channel so Thank-you for that. I'm sharing the questions that were asked from me in the speaking test. Section 1: Where do you live ? Is it a big city or a small? Why do you like this place? Would you like to change anything about that place? Who is your favorite film start? Why do you like him? Would you want to be a film star? Do you like to spend most of your time looking at stars? Is the sky prettier at day or night? Did you learn more about stars in school or college? Section 2: Talk about a person you enjoy working with? - who is that person - why do you enjoy working with that person - how long have you known each other Section 3: Is it important that children should be friends with all of their classfellows? How would it be better if children are friends with all of their class fellows? Should children be allowed to sit with whoever they want to in a class? Is it important for a boss to be friends with his employees ? What other factors are important for a work environment to be productive ? What should be done in order to make the physical environment more comfortable for the work employees?
I'm not an authority on this subject, but I'd say TV advertisements are quite powerful. It reaches a wider audience, this is fuelled by the gradual phasing away of interest in books owing to the advancement of technology. I believe people would rather watch TV and perhaps read about events online than to resort to newspapers. Also, the graphics, jingles, gimmicks, visuals associated with TV advertisements are quite fascinating and captivating to the eyes and ears and quite a number of people are moved by what the hear or see. For instance a TV add for a soda like Coca-Cola would actually capture the need for the product, the supply of it and the satisfaction that comes with taking of the soda, this cannot be aptly captured by newspaper ads, Also, people tend to retain what they see via motion than what mere picture.
Thank u soooo much ! I passed the exam within one week preparing, I only studied Ielts Writing here and finally got an offer from my dream school UCL! Thanks a lot!

Thank you so much for your strategies. They work like a charm!! Got an 8.5 in speaking(exam attempted on 24th August 2019) and I'm a non-native speaker. Your method is what made it possible.
It depends on the personality type of the audience to a great extent, I guess. There is a group of people who are mainly influenced through texts and reading. For them, newspapers ads will stick out more probably. On the other hand, some others may be swept away via visual effects that are majorly associated with TV. So, advertisements greatly taking advantage of various personality types of their viewers or audience to get their messages across in the most effective lasting way.
I think Newspaper advertisements played vital role in the past because there were no televisions in many houses but nowadays, tv advertisements are grabbing more attention than newspapers. One of the main reason is that people are relying more on instant news that comes on tv and mobile apps news than buying newspapers.
Earlier i was a big fan of Jay but when i listened Alex i feel amazed by her broad ideas and Accent, i have no words to praise her, God Bless you both. I had appeared for my exam and my examiner was same like Alex in questioning Like what other reasons?. What else?.
Question answer: Since everyone is glued to their screens nowadays it would be a fallacy for me to say newspapers. Big companies such as McDonald's, Nike and Mercedes for example need global reach and newspapers just dont provide the platform needed to fulfill their needs to that scale. In the past we didnt have any better options and people used to turn towards newspapers for their dose of happenings around the world. Maybe in the future we will speak about televisions as an obsolete means of reaching the masses. Something better may replace it and interplanetary reach may be the new norm. Hence in my opinion currently tv ads are better than newspaper ads.

I think advertisements made on TV are more powerful than that on newspapers because any thing watched or listened to lasts longer than articles read. Further more, TVs are watched occasionally and the same adverts are been played frequently which makes whatever is advertised stick longer in the head than the advertisement on newspapers that are often read.

This was really helpful. I wrote my test on the 10th of December and scored an 8.5 overall and an 8.5 in the Speaking section. Had just 2 days to practice for this and the 3-parts video was beneficial to me on the test date. Thank you so much.
Advertisement is one of the the major source of spreading information in my country. I would definitely say that TV is better option for Advertisement because it is faster and easily accesible and especially when the advertisment about a product is done by some figureheads, it seems to be more effective. On the other hand, I can say that newspapers and magazines are also providing key information in advertisements for few decades now, but in recent times, where everything is digitalized, benefits of advertisements on TV clearly outweighs the benefits of ads in newspaper .
Your tutorials helped me to achieve L 9.0, R 8.0, W6.5, S 7.0 with an overall score of band 7.5. Thank you so much, keep up the good work, God will reward you guys.

Q : what types of advertisements are more powerful, the ones on TV or the ones in newspapers? A: From these two advertisement methods i think that tv is the dominating one, because you are not only being able to visualize it but you can also hear it, so i would assume it has the biggest impact.Of course newspapers have their impact too, but i believe there are not as many people that are buying newspapers right now as they were in the past.
well its a very interesting question, i think ads on tv is more powerful than newspapers, bcoz lots of people watch tv but there are fewer people who reads newspaper regularly, so i think tv ads can grab more attention of people rather than newspaper ads,
I think advertisements involving visual elements are more powerful than those involving words, because our sight perceives information more strikingly than our other senses.
Well, I believe that visual ads with audio, video are more powerful because we can find it a little bit engaging as well this type of ad is not skippable. So must watch it till the end. On the other side, newspaper ads are easy to ignore or not have any emotional touches. So yes, I think TV advertisements are much more powerful and engaging than paper base ads.
Answer to the question: Actually, if I had to make a choice between them, the answer is too easy. It is definatelty TV. But there is another powerful tool to advertise and very effective on people. It calls influcers or social media. I can accept that this phenomenon is appealing to generation Z mostly. But the middle-aged people also are trying to catch the new trends on internet and searching the current events. Nowadays, when the TV show went for a commercial break on TV, I believe that 90% of the people start to follow up the updates in social media.
Hey Jay! This Is someone who listened you during the test preperation and i just took the test this morning. I had good times at the center. Your tricks were so helpful ty and i will put my score in 13 days. I need 6 for speaking and overall 🙈

Hello Jay, i got my Ielts academic results yesterday and got 8.5 in speaking. I learned the trick of PPF same day i was waiting for my turn to go to the examiner’s room. Im really grateful. Kudos to u and the entire E2 team❤
cool bananas, love your videos! I am preparing for the IELTS exam for this month end. To be honest, ive never screened though any youtube channel the way ive done for E2, and its really helping me quite alot to catch a grip on IELTS. Thank you again. Ill post the questions asked to me during my interview and my results as soon as get them.
Well, in my opinion, the television advertisements are more powerful than the ones in the newspapers in a sense that most people tend to spend most of their time watching TV than reading papers. Moreover, the advertising companies introduce more appealing aspects on TVs with colorful and vibrant components, which tend to be eye-catching and attention worthy. On the flip side, newspaper advertisements occupy lesser space and individuals mostly, ignore the parts focusing on news with bigger headings.
Hello ! Thanks you very much , because of your ppf method ! Today I have got Speaking 7.0 ! It was pretty great strategy for me ☺️☺️☺️☺️ , futhermore , I have achieved Ielts band score which is definitely useful for me because of your good advices , along with specific strategies for reading and writing respectively 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you guys! Special thanks Jay! I've just checked my exam results and I got 8 on my speaking test. Without your videos and advice I could not have done this.
I had my exam a week back and I scored overall 7 band with 4 days of preparation 😭 I needed 7.5 and hence, I’ll be reappearing for the test a week from now. I hope I’m able to crack it this time!🥺
What i think about that is advertising through TV is more powerful than news paper because in TV ads they explained everything detail and a person will understand much better by visualization of anything rather than it is written on something, but in this contemporary era their are some people who likes to read News paper specially at morning time except watching TV so we should always keep this point in mind too. Thanks
Thank you so much for what you are doing! I can't actually pay for tutorials that you offer because of the country I am from (Iran). However, these tutorial clips that you make on youtube are SO good that I have been suggesting them to everyone of my friends. Thank you!!
I would say advertisements on TV are more effective rather then the newspaper, is because in TV it has more interactive presentation, It communicates with all the level of consumers even with a kid. In newspaper ads are more static and lot of either do not buy a news paper or have any access to them, But at least even once in a week or in the weekend we manage sometimes to watch one or more tv shows or movies on TV.
well...my exam was wonderful.. thanks jay...I guess I gave one wrong answer in part 3...you know the examiner asked me a question where the word was really hard to know.. I even can not remember what the word is.However, I think...I did well..Thanks 😊
I personally think that the television advertisement is much more effective than the advertisement in the newspapers. The newspaper advertising uses text or images or a combination of both which targets the visual senses whereas the television advertisement uses motion pictures which have an effect on the audio-visual senses of the audience.
Hmmm, that's a difficult one. Well, some people turn to believe that newspaper advertisement by far supersedes TV advertisements. This is because , most people are very busy with their work nowadays and would rather grab a newspaper on their way to walk or have it delivered at the comfort of their homes so as to take a look on their freetime. This is not so for TV advertisements as less and less workers are watching TV lately. I personally think that, TV advertisements are far more captivating than that of newspapers. They make the product more appealing and focus on the audio~visual senses of the audience.
Thats an interesting question. I would say that the advertisements on TV are probably more powerful because you are engaged to watch and listen to what is being said. TV advertisements also have the added advantage of being able to play music along with the particular advertisement, making the advert that much more emotionally engaging. On the other hand TV adverts are also quite short, which means you can run through them pretty clickly on a single viewing. Newspaper ads on the other hand don't just disappear, they are on a page and you can read them several times over to get the message of what is being said. Even so, I would say that TV adverts have more of an impact on viewers than Newspaper adverts.
Well, I believe that the advert which we see on television has more impact on the audiences mind as opposed to the ones in newspaper. The advertisement on television are generally promotional videos giving a better image and information of the product whereas the newspaper though carries a picture and information doesn't do much to leave an impact. Also, we are living in technology driven era where very less population reads newspaper as they can access news on their laptops or mobiles. So, anyways Television advertisements are more successful.
Personally I think the most powerful advertisement is those on TVs because apart from hearing the advert you also have the opportunity to see the product itself and sometimes they also demonstrate on how to use the product
Hello Jay! I appreciate your guidance and enthusiasm. Although you portray an optimistic behavior all throughout, I would request you to take a different approach in certain cases only. For example, speaking part 2, the topic about art. The execution was a bit too complicated. Forgive me if I was insubordinate but I hope you have a look at it.
Well, I think the tv advertisements are more powerful because we see both live audio and visual effects , which is more appealing than news advertising. Customers are attracted effectively through the message sent from seller without any hassle. I’m going to attend next week . And thanks for all great thoughts and insights for exam. I got really less time but hope to do good .
Well, advertisement on tv as well as newspaper have a similar role to play, significantly attracting customers.however, advertisements on tv are having visuals and audio alongwith, thus convenient for people to know about the new product in the market, while newspaper reflect very little information about that.hence,tv advertisements are much better in contrast to those in newspapers or magazines😊
I am just done with my speaking test- Part 1 •Do you live in an apartment or a house ? •Do you like your house? •Tell me about your first school? •How did you travel to school? •Did you enjoy your school? •What did you dislike about it? •Do you find it easy to relax and what do you do to relax, why? Part 2 Describe a leisure activity you would like to do near sea? Part 3 •Why do people go to beach? •How kids can enjoy on the beach? •Do you think kids enjoy more than adults when on beach? •Discussion on global warming.
Well avertissement is common both on the internet and on newspaper but I will say that on television is more faster than the one on newspapers . This is beaucause must of all people worldwide are very interested in watching television and by doing this they are more likely to withness many adverts when watching television programs as compared to few people who read news papers.
This video is very informative and helpful us so i heartly thank you my ielts exam start october 19 so i only prepare looking your video this method real help in my ielts exam..
In my opinion, advertisement on TV would be more popular than advertisement in newspaper. Because, people spend long time in watching TV, whereas they spend only 10 minutes in reading newspaper in a day. They watch lots of advertisement on TV while watching their favorite programmes. Also people get more attracted to watch visual advertisement rather than in seeing pictures of advertisements.
Questions were almost like real test, as the last one was aked to me in my IELTS test n i really enjoyed both of ur expressions before the question being asked!!
Advertisements on TV are more powerful as generally people watch more TV than read newspaper ,secondly the advertisements on TV are made quiet flashy and huge investment is done to make it colourful ,so it has an impact on people and it catches the attention of people very quickly
Well, That is very interesting question. Advertisement have great influence on people. As time have changed through years , people prefer Tv for news and information. So advertisement shown on TV are more powerful for instance scent advertisement, foods advertisement.
The types of advertisement more powerful is the ones on TV. Advertisements on TV, are practically watched by two or more persons but advertisement on newspapers are done individually and not many people make out time to read. Most people feel they waste time in reading and they prefer to watch it.
Ohhh that’s a very relative question, in my opinion these two arms of broadcasting play a pretty part in brand or corporate advertising. And I wouldn’t really choose one over the order as their strength are unique to the niche they intend to publicize
If mentioning the drawbacks of advertising, the idiom used can be..'all that glitters is not gold'...precisely mentioning that they mislead the customers..
Advertisement is displaying a product or service and it is considered effective if it reaches its target audience. Advertisement on Tv gives more result compared to newspaper. Reasons being that newspapers are outdated and very few people resort to buying them whereas almost everybody watches TV. Tv therefore gives a wider reach.
Pictures leave a great impact compared to mere words... Newspapers were read by masses only a decade before, making it the best advertising mean. But with the advent of technology, tv replaced the newspaper bcz it targets all the age groups with the popping and captivating ads. beguiling voices, enchanting graphics conveyed in a decent way to viewers left a hige impact.
Thank you for the content! The UA-cam videos and E2 prep material were spot on and helped me get a better score, especially in Speaking. I spent about a week with the videos for all 4 sections and ended up getting an 8.5!
Thanks to Jay and Alex. I remember I was asked a question about work and I started talking on “walk”. I didn’t hear correct what the examiner asked. But I still had a 7.5😂
i think, the answer would be t.v and newspaper has their own importance to provide knowledge about up to date issues.so,most of people believe in newspaper for source of news while others like to watch t.v
In my point of view, advertisements on TV s are more power full than that is on newspaper. It is because TV stimulates our eyes ears and thought which resulted in activate our emotion, which bring us huge impect. However advertisemets in newspapers stimulate us lesser

Hey Jay in my opinion your videos with Alex are much more effective than if you do it by yourself. Great video, Thanks a lot
Robert Downy Jr & Blake Lively in one screen teaching us ielts yall. What more can we ask for? Thank u E2, I will be taking my exam next month 🙈
Lol you’re absolutely correct 😅
What is the 3 word answer for happiness ?! 😂
Hi jay, your videos really helped me. Today i got my ielts score, and i score 8 band.
Thanks and wish you lots of success.

you guys have such endearing personalities , makes the videos a lot more interesting , thank you :)
Answer to the question:
Actually, if I had to make a choice between them, the answer is too easy. It is definatelty TV. But there is another powerful tool to advertise and very effective on people. It calls influcers or social media. I can accept that this phenomenon is appealing to generation Z mostly. But the middle-aged people also are trying to catch the new trends on internet and searching the current events. Nowadays, when the TV show went for a commercial break on TV, I believe that 90% of the people start to follow up the updates in social media.

cool bananas, love your videos!
Great answer!

Thanks E2language you helped me a lot in my first IELTS exam. I still have to improve in my writing, but I'll keep studying with you.

I am going to take my speaking test today.... thanks for uploading this...it will aid me to be confident 😊
Best wishes👍🏻

well...my exam was wonderful.. thanks jay...I guess I gave one wrong answer in part 3...you know the examiner asked me a question where the word was really hard to know.. I even can not remember what the word is.However, I think...I did well..Thanks 😊
I have just started my IELTS preparations..
Am hopeful that it will be easy for me
Thank you.
You got this!
Thank you Jay and Alex. I had an 8.0 band on my first try. Appreciate your help.
I got really less time but hope to do good .
how did you scored
>??
Well, advertisement on tv as well as newspaper have a similar role to play, significantly attracting customers.however, advertisements on tv are having visuals and audio alongwith, thus convenient for people to know about the new product in the market, while newspaper reflect very little information about that.hence,tv advertisements are much better in contrast to those in newspapers or magazines😊
play a significant role in attraction of costumers. how was that?

Well avertissement is common both on the internet and on newspaper but I will say that on television is more faster than the one on newspapers . This is beaucause must of all people worldwide are very interested in watching television and by doing this they are more likely to withness many adverts when watching television programs as compared to few people who read news papers.
This video is very informative and helpful us so i heartly thank you my ielts exam start october 19 so i only prepare looking your video this method real help in my ielts exam..
@Ajay yadav - I have my exam on 12th Oct. Good Luck mate !
My speaking part is weak..........i am really happy to find you as your videos are very helpful ...........excellent teacher
Their strategies are like special force's tactical strike. Kudos guys !!
You guys are the best for last moment prep.!! your tips are very valuable!
👍 Be careful with singular and plural (advertisements) - and you don’t need ‘in’ with ‘spending time’. Good luck in your test! 💪🌟
I got 9 in R, S, L and 7.5 in writing and I that's only because I followed your instructions. Thank you very much. Wish you all the best in life

How it went?
Advertisements on TV are more powerful as generally people watch more TV than read newspaper ,secondly the advertisements on TV are made quiet flashy and huge investment is done to make it colourful ,so it has an impact on people and it catches the attention of people very quickly
This site helps me a lot for my preparation. Thanks
Well, That is very interesting question. Advertisement have great influence on people. As time have changed through years , people prefer Tv for news and information. So advertisement shown on TV are more powerful for instance scent advertisement, foods advertisement.
You're the best jay💯
The types of advertisement more powerful is the ones on TV. Advertisements on TV, are practically watched by two or more persons but advertisement on newspapers are done individually and not many people make out time to read. Most people feel they waste time in reading and they prefer to watch it.
U both are extremely good....and these tips are really helpful...
Ohhh that’s a very relative question, in my opinion these two arms of broadcasting play a pretty part in brand or corporate advertising. And I wouldn’t really choose one over the order as their strength are unique to the niche they intend to publicize
If mentioning the drawbacks of advertising, the idiom used can be..'all that glitters is not gold'...precisely mentioning that they mislead the customers..
yes we can use dear
Advertisement is displaying a product or service and it is considered effective if it reaches its target audience. Advertisement on Tv gives more result compared to newspaper. Reasons being that newspapers are outdated and very few people resort to buying them whereas almost everybody watches TV. Tv therefore gives a wider reach.
Amazing u both 💖 Ur all videos really fruitful for us..🙌
Pictures leave a great impact compared to mere words...
What is the meaning of life, I got a three word answer for you:
"No I don't" I see what you did there.

But I still had a 7.5😂
😂
Maybe walk is a new jop , they didn't exhausted their self to til us about
i think, the answer would be t.v and newspaper has their own importance to provide knowledge about up to date issues.so,most of people believe in newspaper for source of news while others like to watch t.v
Phrasal verb: Caught my eye
In my point of view, advertisements on TV s are more power full than that is on newspaper. It is because TV stimulates our eyes ears and thought which resulted in activate our emotion, which bring us huge impect. However advertisemets in newspapers stimulate us lesser
