One of the well-known no's from the 80s , Lekin Mera Dil was sung by the famous Indi-pop Diva Nazia Hassan. Released in 1981 , the song was written by Nazia Hassan , composed and produced by Biddu. It was a popular track from the hit album Disco-Diwane.

I am German, and despite of living in the UK for 16 years in the 90ies and 00s, watching Bollywood movies, having many Indian and Pakistani colleagues, I never came across this Popmusik from These countries. I believe this rather sad. Only discovered Nazias music on your channel and became hooked on it immediately. I looked up the translation on a different Channel though

You have touched my soul today by realesing this song - an apt tribute to the gifted singer, on her 57th birth anniversary exactly a week from today .
In life she was feted as the queen of a new movement in Pakistani music.
In death she continues to inspire .
But to pigeonhole and remember her solely as a singer does not do justice to her legacy ....
