Thank you for your great instructions!! I hope to try my hand at making one using your great instructions. You are a very thorough teacher..and I appreciate that. I'm glued to your channel since I found it the other day. Everything I have seen you make turns out just beautiful!! You are very creative!! All your TN pages are absolutely GIRGEOUS!! And is that your kitty purring in the background?? Too cute!! 😘
Thanks so much Peggy. I'm delighted that I've inspired you to give it a go. It's so much fun to craft and create something yourself, I really hope you enjoy the process!
Hi Jan, sorry for the super late reply. I'm not sure which paper cutter I use in this video. I currently use, and highly recommend, a Fiskars procision rotary paper trimmer. It's a bit pricier but the blade doesn't need changing. I did use a We R Memory Keepers trim and score board and I had to change the blades all the time. Now I just use that one mostly for the score board but I keep a blade in it for travel as the Fiskars procision is big!
Hello - thank you for the tutorial....how would you describe the finish of the covers? Does it feel like paper still or coated with a bit of texture....I know that seems like a random question but I'm just curious. Thanks!
A great question but hard to answer. The decopodged covers don't feel like paper. You can feel some texture on them and they feel sorta like a vinyl but not as smooth as that. Really hard to put into words but if I didn't know they were paper I would think they were some type of synthetic material...
Hi, i found all my leather locally. Leather offcuts can be big enough if you have any manufacturers nearby. Otherwise sewing supply stores can stock leather. I have been lucky with local suppliers but you can buy online. A lot of the leather I have fused to paper and cardstock is garment weight leather. I use thicker leather for my all leather TNs. You can use faux leather (vinyl) or upholstery fabric as a substitute. Have fun being crafty 💕
Hi, the only thing between the paper and leather on these TNs is the heat fusible interfacing. This is thick paper though. With TNs made with thin paper bags I have decopodged the paper bag to thicker cardstock before heat fusing to leather.
Hi, I'd love to help but need to know a little more about what the fabric is made of, thickness etc! I don't see why it wouldn't work but it depends if the fabric can withstand the medium heat of the iron.
Hi, I love this but my question is did you use an inkjet printer or laser? I have tried to coat mine with modge podge but it smears because I use an inkjet.
Hi, I have an inkjet printer and I use a decopodge (it may be a different mix from mod podge). Was your print completely dry first? I would say wait 24 hours for it to be completely dry if you didn't. I do prefer decopodge to mod-podge but I'll print a page, wait 24 hours and try mod podge and see how it goes for me. I would recommend a decopodge as preferable if you can get your hands on some but if not then wait a good time to ensure the print is dry. Alternatively if you have a spray sealant you could apply that to the print and that would seal the finish before mod podge. I'll print and try mod podge over the next few days and be back in touch.
@@itsycrafty Thank you for your response. I will try to wait 24 hours before using it, but I did purchase the modge podge for paper. I going to try to find the deco bodge. You are so inspirational. I haven't stayed up all night watching someone's videos in a long time. Thanks again
Hi Laura, I use a Pratley Kraftex decopodge. The only mod podge I have used is a glitter mod podge so it's hard to compare the 2 products. I have heard some people that use mod podge find it cracks along the spine but my decopodge doesn't crack. I'm not sure if that is a difference in products or just application. My advice is not to apply too thickly. I googled and see the decopodge I use is a South African product so may not be available where you are but I have bought it here in New Zealand. A general google changes the word decopodge to decoupage, which is a technique rather than a product. Let me know if I can help further as it really is fun making your own.
Hi Gail. I've been making my TN covers for personal use. I like to have a different TN for each month that coordinates with my Planner Society subscription kit. I use notebooks in different sizes so make TNs in different sizes. I'm still experimenting with different ways to make them and including pockets etc so really I'm just building up a pretty shelf with gorgeous planners I've made myself.
Best tutorial ever. Thanks for sharing.
Awww thanks so much xo
Love hearing the cat purring in the background 😊

How do you keep the deco from sticking/glueing to the paper?

I can't wait to try this. Where do you find your leather and is there a certian kind/thickness that you look for?

What did you use between paper and leather to make the cover thicker?

I need some help on mind because I have a 49er fabric and I want to know if I can do it on cardboard

Neat, Did you use an ink jet printer?
Hi Darlene. Yes, I printed this on my home inkjet printer 💕
If I Google deco podge I automatically go to mod podge products. Are these the same???
Hi Laura, I use a Pratley Kraftex decopodge. The only mod podge I have used is a glitter mod podge so it's hard to compare the 2 products. So what do you do with all the TN's you make? You can't sell them can you?
Hi Gail. I've been making my TN covers for personal use. I like to have a different TN for each month that coordinates with my Planner Society subscription kit. "Oh they sure are pretty! You'll have a unique collection for sure!
