and thats the end of the beginning! nooooo nooooo thats not the end of the beginning the end of the beginning goes : glang glangalangalangalangalangalang!
im with you on the music and the stunt, this piece of score by Marvin Hamlisch,is a Fantastic piece of music, and sits with what bond does on the screen Perfectly.
This song appears being played in the initial sequence from the movie "007 - The Spy who Loves me" (1977). Esta música aparece sendo tocada na seqüência inicial do filme "007 - O Espião que me Amava" (1977).
I get a kick out of thinking about the music themes *_INDICATING_* WHEN the BOND film came out- example: '~ Live and Let Die! ~' early 70's. Moonraker- later 70's.
anybody know anything about the personnel? Like who plays the sax solo? Also, the synth bass is very bee gees but the 3-5-1 minor chord inversion on the sixteenth notes is totally from you should be dancin'. I've been following this rhythm riff around the seventies. It also ends up in voulez vous (sp?) by abba. Turns out that tune was recorded in the same miami studio where the bg's recorded and they used house disco band to back them up (abba did), so the borrowing was probably on the part of that backing band. anyway, hamlisch really knew what he was doing. The lead single was great too, and so was ride to atlantis and the mojave club.

Excellent music video...! Belong 007 Roger Moore and Barbrarah Bach, when together into Lamborgini Spada, run persecute by a helicopter (Caroline Munro Villian girl) after, a motorcicle with a sidecar bomb, she shoot them a lot, finally 007 shot her and kill misile submarine under sea. The Spy Who Love me. Thanks, me.
At the end the union jack parachute pops out and the bond music starts. Brilliant scene 👍🏻
and thats the end of the beginning! nooooo nooooo thats not the end of the beginning the end of the beginning goes : glang glangalangalangalangalangalang!
And the music perfectly follows the mountainside action.
This was nearly a hit for Marvin Hamlisch was played in the disco's when it came out im proud to say i have this on a single
Always loved this version from "The Spy Who Loved Me", interesting to find out that Hamlisch did this, but no surprise, his music was brilliant.
One of my favorite bond songs
Bond theme for the 1970's and still a classic today!
Super the best Bond theme ever. It is very cool.

You should be dancing..............yeh!
Needs more cowbell.
Pure fun❤ It's no problem. The track is right here
Just think about it. This is some trombone player's heyday.
Christ !! , I forgot how good this track was, bit tongue in cheek , but a typical bond track , brilliant
I'd like to hear the version that was used on the actual film.
This was used in The Spy Who Loved Me
My favorite Roger Moore Bond!
My Mom's favorite Bond is Moore.
My Dad's favorite Bond is Connery.
My favorite: Connery with Moore tied with Lazenby close behind.
To me Roger Moore IS James Bond and always will be!
Timothy Mckee I'll drink to that, ol'boy!!
For me too!
The first Bond film I can remember seeing was A View to a Kill on VHS when I was five. Roger Moore will always be MY Bond!!
The guitar at 1:15 kicks major British are
Isn't that a fact in universe that Sean Connery's James Bond and Roger Moore' James Bond are too différent persons with the same code name?
Amazing
All those feathers and he still cant fly
Disco Bond Music 👏👏👏
007 sound track it's very nice!!
I get a kick out of thinking about the music themes *_INDICATING_* WHEN the BOND film came out- example: '~ Live and Let Die! ~' early 70's. Moonraker- later 70's.
Awesome
Yea, it was one of my first albums.
Wow you have really great taste. We should meet up sometime.
Miles better than the standard l.p mix. This would have lit the discos in '77. Great track, thanks for posting such a rarity.
I agree.I vote for sir Roger Moore as the best 007!
he's really growing on me. he might be the best!
Roger Moore was my favourite bond for a long time but for me now it has to be the great Daniel Craig
0077

It is very regrettable this track is no longer available on Spotify! Horrible!😮
Quality.. 1luv 😎..
Marvin Hamlisch openly admitted h borrowed the bass idea from the Bee Gees on the DVD interview.
Oh yeah. You Should be Dancin!!! Yep. I can hear it
R.I.P. Marvin!!
You Should Be Dancin' Yer!
Does anyone else think the guitar or synth sound thingy sounds the same as in You should be dancin' from the Beegees?
It's like Bond on a cocaine binge. It starts out begin really cool and fun but these synths are driving me bonkers.
That’s the disco era for you there. Very fitting for the time.
I was born 3 years after this came out.
Roger Moore was the Saint and James Bond.
This should be over the never say never motorcycle chase
Anyone know where i can buy digital?
They need to bring this back for the new Bond, it is far more current and trendy than the 1960s Barry Norman version.
Roger Moore IS 007
Roger Moore WAS 007
wrong, he will forever be known as one of the bonds.
that is a true statement.
Voulez Vous???
Couchez avec moi?
Funky
It is a forceful version ---it moves.
UCB
Could've done without the creepy speech intro...
Kinda like it as if Bond is about to come in and Ravish a naughty woman.

The car was a Lotus Esprit S1
You're crazy.
Roger Moore was the Saint. Sean Connery IS James Bond.
