I just listened to Jan 15 live - in the US Dritz offers a "knit elastic" which doesn't roll or narrow when stretched. It is a bit thicker than "plain" elastic, but I like it for all waist bands.
I think one of the best examples of a pattern changing apperance based on fabric choice is the Deer and Doe Myosotis. If you sew it in a weighty linen or cotton it is an oversized dress which stands away from the body. In a viscose it is a figure-hugging, classic shirtdress shape. I love it for this reason!
The Parker coat by style arc is very good and simple for boiled wool as well x
My sewing room looked like a bunch of fluff bombs went off when I used Mongolian fleece to make my son dressing gowns. A lot of sneezing accompanied the sewing 😂
I cut it out like ordinary fleece and overlocked it with a slightly tighter/closer stitch because it's so fluffy.. they've lasted well and he's lived in them for 2 years now ... 🎉 the second one I cut out with my vacuum handy to deal with fluff after cutting each piece out 😂
Hi Lauren, thanks for doing these every week! I was wondering if the Millerain dry wax cotton canvas would be suitable for a trench coat? And if you have any classic trench coat patterns you’d recommend please 😊

In a previous UA-cam video just before Christmas I think, you reviewed a Prym reversible tape measure with a bit of a difference. On one side the measurements went from 1cm to 150cm, but when you turn it over the opposite side of the 1cm mark showed 150cm and the opposite side of 150cm showed 1cm. I am desperate to get this as the one I have is damaged, but when I called the shop I was told it was out of stock. Will you be getting them back anytime soon?
Hello, we have lots on order but there is currently a problem with the supply of this product (along with various other habby items) that is out of our control we at the moment we don't have a specific delivery date, but it will be back again at some point soon

Hello, its our viscose blended knit fabric, I'll pop a link to the colours but some are out of stock as its a more seasonal fabric so we aren't sure if we can still get all the colours back again as now more spring/summer fabrics are coming in
