Cape York Tele Track: flooded cars, bush mechanics & deep river crossings Overlanding Australia Ep62

In this episode we continue along the Old Telegraph Track from Fruit Bat Falls to Nolan’s Brook. Crossing man deep rivers and the old cape York log bridge.
We had to perform some bush mechanics and recover a flooded car but we made it it the end in one piece. Just!

always prepare the car before big river crossings. have the recover gear attached and a plane of attack for when something goes wrong

Thanks mate we normally do prepare before all river crossing. But obviously are human and mad a mistake with this crossing.

The drivers right is not the same as your right.
Thats why you say turn driver or passenger instead. That’s the same for both driver and spotter.

Never been up there. Are there bypass tracks or it’s those crossings or nothing?

Thanks glad you enjoyed it some of the crossings have bypass tracks. But sometimes the bypass is worse than the deep parts in the rivers.
