    That's why we should never ever judge anyone who is overweight. We don't know what type of illness this person may have.

    Just want to point out that a pituitary tumor is not the only cause of Cushings.

    This is not called Cushing's syndrome. Her condition is called Cushing's disease, and she explained that at the first 4 seconds of the video.

    • @smbogan
      @smbogan 4 роки тому +2

      Wrong. Cushing's disease is a cause of Cushing's syndrome. The syndrome is the set of symptoms without regard to what causes it; the disease is one possible cause of the syndrome.

    @DREVILSAN They are suppose to test for levels of cortisol. Keep going to other Doctors don't settle for just one or two.

    do you have to gain a lot of weight for there to be definite cushings, my doctors seem to think i don't have it but aim pretty certain i do my symptoms are crazy and the have already found some cyst on my ovaries but i think they have misdiagnosed me with pros when really the cushings has caused this.

      If you have cysts there it’s probably Pcos

      It sounds like you are in the start of the middle stages. I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 16, and over time, that develops into PCOS if left untreated. I have ovarian cysts also. The brain surgery this patient had alleviated her symptoms that starts the whole thing from the very beginning, and that is important. I am in the process of attempting to get a hysterectomy (I am 52, this has been going on long enough, period-wise). The very best of luck to you in your search for great medical care that resolves this entirely!!

    so, i may have this disease. My only doubt is, what happens after you have this surgery? you are a normal person or you stay as you are but the disease stops developing?
    because i wish i could have a perfectly normal life :)

      Nine years ago I was diagnosed with Cushings Syndrome. I had a golf ball sized tunour in my adrenal gland. They surgically removed my adrenal gland with the tumour. Within 3 days my diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure was gone. Within a month I lost almost 40lbs. I was on cortizone meds for about 6 months and have led a pretty much normal life since then. I still sometimes get muscle aches but not very often and they only last a day or two. Other than that everything else is pretty much normal. Even the weight has stayed off and I dont eat any special diet.

      @@neilaucamp2389 did you suspect you may have it? I’m starting to think I do, I have moon face, 50 pounds gain in a year, excessive hair growth in chin and neck and little stretch marks on stomach. I’m a female. I’m nervous

    • @PowerFlower2014

      @Neil Aucamp Wow, glad you recovered well, yes a doctors visits is much needed as this point. I just got covid so I am quarantining but after I need to get blood work and urine tests done. Definitely gonna have them check my cortisol as well. I’ve suspected hypothyroidism and maybe early onset diabetes. I’ve avoided the doctors a couple years afraid but I’m suspecting something is off. My diet however has not been good so maybe I’ve just emotionally ate my way up to gain all this weight. That’s amazing how the weight falls off knowing you got that sucker out. Well wishes!

      @Neil Aucamp I also used to have a pretty slender body, long legs but I’ve noticed most of the weight gain is in my stomach and face. My legs have gained weight but they don’t look super big.

      i think it's extremely underdiagnosed in general and men are less likely to be diagnosed than women because women are more sensitive about appearance changes and have more obvious symptoms like period issues and facial hair whereas men are more likely to think they're just fat
