I'm a new female rider of a 2015 Yamaha R3, got my license in August of 2016 but got my bike after the riding season in winter of 2016, so I didn't get any riding down. Then in 2017, I did parking lot riding, late at night to get used to riding plus I didn't have safe gear to ride in. I had my helmet and gloves only, but a fashion jacket and sneakers so I didn't feel comfortable doing street riding. Over the winter of 2017, I found all my gear, leather jacket, riding boots and leather pants second hand with all armors, protectors included so I'm so safe and riding now, doing highway and everything. I'm on the hunt for a one piece suit because I would like to do track riding, but if I don't get track riding in this season that will be okay. Having a one piece for me is to give the look that I'm a professional rider and won't get taunted on the highway too much to race since I look like I can race if you know what I mean. So with all my blah, blah, your review was very clear, honest and thorough! I will give these guys a go to order from them. I'm really interested in custom as being female its so difficult to find regular riding gear that fits without having to alter everywhere. The sizing chart that you posted in the beginning was so a pleasure to see, giving me the assurance that it will fit well. For me I"m looking for street protection and the look of a racer even though I'm riding speed limits. So like you said, what I will say to compliment your video to each their own! I appreciate you! I bought a Yamaha red/white/black one eBay Pakistan and I haven't found anything wrong with it. Fits almost perfectly. $400. Guy did all custom measurements. I love it. If it rips apart in a crash I buy a new one. No big deal.
As long as you don't crash on a race track going 100mph into a long slide you should be fine. I assume these hold up as well as Cordura but look much better They're the same price range as well

I see it this way. Yeah, it might not be top of the line like Alpinestsr, Daniese, etc but for those who are in slower groups on the track, it's more ideal and can hold out at least for one crash at the average speed in that group. For faster groups, not so much.

maybe someone in that financial situation shouldn't be racing motorcycles... the financial risk you are putting yourself in in the form of injury is HUGE and even the smallest cost consumables like brake pads and tires will bankrupt you.

If you think about it, health is going to be at risk no matter if the suit is $200 or $2000. Granted I wasn't going high speed but my cheap crappy bilt one piece held out when I crashed; Only had small dime sized road rash on my knee, and that was only because it had hit just under where the internal pad was. The suit had small rip at the sitches but only minor. It did it's job so I saved the pads, threw it away.
I wouldn't just randomly pick off ebay but the little research I've done I've found a few credible companies....not too hard......is it the best of the best...if you wanted and paid for it I bet it could be close and also don't forget.....its custom made to you not off the rack.....what does A stars charge for custom?...... It can be done....easily?....no, would take research, vetting, but this is what smaller brands do....they find the good ones and have them build your suit.....Bison is one that comes to mind....$1000 for custom he pays $400-500 for....and he should, he runs a business and found the connections.... But I don't think it's that tough to find a reputable builder over there....bit of a gamble.....hard to hide with internet available
They look great but are unlikly to give much protection. That money could have bought a top quality second hand suit. I suspect that the leather and stiching is very poor. If you are new to motorbikes ask an experianced rider for advice. For ther record my leathers are Crowtree that I bought second hand.
Maybe in Pakistan you can also get skin graft surgery for a $300 dollars but here in the US it's more like $50,000. For $300 bucks, would you rather chose lifetime disfigurement and poverty, or a lightly used genuine Dainese suit?

Yeah he actually did. I never did a review of my suit, but the one i received was a bust... The leather seemed pretty good but the stitching lacked in a a few places. It fits like a glove, but I wouldn't put trust in it holding up to a crash. They didn't put any stretch material in the crotch of my pants so they're pretty much useless. Just little things here and there. The Suit does look pretty sick though. In the end I just ended up buying a real 1 piece Dainese Suit. The quality is night and day...
Oh... and the crotch zipper busted on my pants and one of the zippers by the forearms busted on my jacket. if the zipper on the jacket never broke i probably still would have worn it.
I have to say i was seriously considering one of these fake /replica leather suits for about $100 but then i thought is my life worth $100 protection only? i ended up buying a $300 RST suit few weeks after and that is heavy duty 1.3mm CE L2 protection.. and thats a budget suit lol. Skin grafts cost around $1000 so i think paying around $300-$500 for a real branded suit is a better idea...
$300 to $500 will not get you a real branded suit Only a replica with illegally used brand names You can find plenty of replicas with ce certification and brand names on them but they are not actually manufactured by that brand

Its officially CE 1 protection and has nice thick leather to protect for slides.. mine was purchased at an official UK Yamaha bike shop with a very good reputation in London... u really dont need to spend a $1000s to get good protection.. just dont buy fake crap from Pakistan / India.
Great choice, RST are made here in the UK and have and excellent reputation, all motorcycle safety equipment, manufacturers here, have to adear to strict lab testing, to get ce certified.

That said, it's a practice track day suit or street riding and not for racing. I also have a $4500 Dainese Mugello CustomWorks DAir for racing so when I do crash, I get up without a stretcher.

I will never buy brand name leathers, it's a scam, the value isn't equal to the cost. I have a pakistan custom suit, a local leather custom suit, a dainese suit from shelf. the pakistan did not fit well in my case, because they did not have much measurement points. It had One crash. the local custom suit fits very well. 2 crash and dainese suit has best leather quality. but it was not custom, Even it is my size, thigh length is little short, carf area is bulky. You will know the leather quality by experience.

U trust the suit? U do understand that once u go down u cant pause the moment and say, yes id really like a 2k usd Dainese over my stuff thank you. Jokes aside, the only rule i know of is no 2 pieces suit anything else is based on how smart you are mate.
No these suits generally do not pass for track use. In uk at least. to use a suit on a track it must be tested and verified to CElevel 2 which most of these custom ebay suits are not

Most ride in much cheaper gear and in fabric. Heck there is not much difference between a 300 USD Icon vs a 3000 USD Shoei, besides comfort.
I wouldn't ever wear anything like this & sure, It most likely is real leather, but you are still trusting, some back street outfit to stitch it together properly and the armour, hasn't be tested, to any standards, I doubt the protection is anyway near the likes of alpinestars or dianeise
Guess where they have their suits made.....Pakistan If you can weed out the skilled factories......its just leather and stitching man, not rocket science
@@kirkdunn1379 Still a huge difference buying from some backstreet outfit in Pakistan and a genuine branded name like alpinestars, dianeese etc, genuine branded suits are are put to rigorous testing, I feel much more safe knowing that, if I do happen to take a spill, my suit isn't going to fall apart, on me, if you buy from a backstreet outfit in Pakistan, doubtful they will reach the high standards required here in UK, dought any testing at all has been, at all, I've seen suits from Pakistan on fake Britain TV series, and they stand up, to much, so simple answer is, it's not just stitching leather together, buy cheap leathers and risk serious injuries.

All the big manufacturers have their suits made in pakistan....leather is a huge industry there But what you don't have is the connections to the good craftsman over there.... If you could vet out and find an identical suit maker that even makes suits for top brands you would get same suit Finding that info isn't easy and if it's not your actual business why would you for just cpl of suits....
The difference is testing, genuine branded, suits have to meet rigorous testing, in order to be sold here in the UK, backstreet pakistan suits, have zero testing & if you happen to have a crash in one who knows how it will hold together, however fake britain did some tests on some suits bought direct from Pakistan & they fell apart and didn't hold up to much, if someone's budget is this low better to put that money towards a second hand genuine suit imo

British review was 1 suit from 1 random mnfctr they picked without even trying to find a reputable craftsman......like me going thru phone book and pick a random house painter and be upset and thinking they're all the same......simply not true Same manufacturers produce products for multiple companies.....even bargain based brands....totally normal and this is throughout industries.....golf clubs have 7 different brands coming down same production line in same facility.......its just how it works

I will never understand people who are more led with price over quality, especially with motorcycle leathers...these leathers, like most "cheap" fake type leathers use inferior leather and fake CE marked armour and are built down to a cost. ask yourself why are they so much cheaper than the major brands?. This guy is obvously pretty stupid as he keeps going on about the price and at the same time shows some doubt about the CE armour. what about your safety buddy? what would you pay for that?.

Right.....all the suits are made in pakistan These factories make suits for multiple companies.....finding the good ones is tricky part but nit impossible and they are available with some research....

The padding he has on this vid is level 1 padding. I got level 2 padding and it is way more sturdy and better than my legit alpine suit.

@@kirkdunn1379 Still a huge difference buying from some backstreet outfit in Pakistan and a genuine branded name like alpinestars, dianeese etc, genuine branded suits are are put to rigorous testing, I feel much more safe knowing that, if I do happen to take a spill, my suit isn't going to fall apart, on me, if you buy from a backstreet outfit in Pakistan, doubtful they will reach the high standards required here in UK, dought any testing at all has been, at all, I've seen suits from Pakistan on fake Britain TV series, and they stand up, to much, so simple answer is, it's not just stitching leather together, buy cheap leathers and risk serious injuries.

very flimsy fake crappy low quality leather.. no good! wil burn up and break under any fast speed slide.. then skin grafts at the hospital costing around $1000

All the big manufacturers have their suits made in pakistan....leather is a huge industry there
But what you don't have is the connections to the good craftsman over there....
If you could vet out and find an identical suit maker that even makes suits for top brands you would get same suit
Finding that info isn't easy and if it's not your actual business why would you for just cpl of suits....
The difference is testing, genuine branded, suits have to meet rigorous testing, in order to be sold here in the UK, backstreet pakistan suits, have zero testing & if you happen to have a crash in one who knows how it will hold together, however fake britain did some tests on some suits bought direct from Pakistan & they fell apart and didn't hold up to much, if someone's budget is this low better to put that money towards a second hand genuine suit imo
@@kirkstmoritz4762 doesn't mean you can't find a vendor who makes suits for other companies already......would it be tougher probably, but already some reputable companies available that have good reputation

It's also not rocket science.....good leather dbl or triple stitched is just about it....stretch fabric in key areas with good materials
I bet most would be shocked if they actually went there and saw how suits were made and who was doing them....there is no magic dust....you can find a quality suit as many other brands do
RST offers quality suits for $400-1000 to public so what do you think they pay to have em done?
British review was 1 suit from 1 random mnfctr they picked without even trying to find a reputable craftsman......like me going thru phone book and pick a random house painter and be upset and thinking they're all the same......simply not true
Same manufacturers produce products for multiple companies.....even bargain based brands....totally normal and this is throughout industries.....golf clubs have 7 different brands coming down same production line in same facility.......its just how it works
@@kirkdunn1379 Motorcycle suits have to pass safety tests to be able to be sold legally here in the UK and that's part of why they charge more, backstreet vendor in Pakistan will have no such tests, and is pot luck how good the suit will hold up in a crash, also rst have always been made here in UK
I will never understand people who are more led with price over quality, especially with motorcycle leathers...these leathers, like most "cheap" fake type leathers use inferior leather and fake CE marked armour and are built down to a cost. ask yourself why are they so much cheaper than the major brands?.

Well, that's because you never bought one yourself to test it out to realise the off the rack major brands are all made in China or Thailand or WhereverTheFuck and aren't much better.

These factories make suits for multiple companies.....finding the good ones is tricky part but nit impossible and they are available with some research....
