Silly question, just got my GlE this week. What’s the winter upgrade, or am I being silly? Also, has anyone been able to get remote start retro fitted? It’s madness we can’t use remote start or Auxiliary heating/venting.
@@GoksCarLounge thanks bud. I thought so, which I think is a bit odd. My old Ford Edge had remote start/auxiliary heating. Will just have to toughen up with the cold winter mornings 😅
@@markpoole6171 haha I know… there are Much cheaper cars with heated steering wheel even! I’m sure EU spec cars do have these options but these things sometimes don’t make it to the UK! Weirdly..
@@GoksCarLounge it’s got to be due to the fact everyone thinks it just rains here. So it’s never hot or never too cold 😅 I love the car so I’m happy to not worry about it. I do love you GLE videos and it helped me choose that over the X5. The X5 didn’t drive as nice IMO.
Good review. I bought one of these a couple of months ago and its the little things in this car that no one shares with you. Like when you have the kids in the 3rd row the drivers conversation is piped to the back of the car so they can hear you as well. Open a window and the sound to the 3rd row is stopped. Or, when you say 'hey mercedes' (which is rubbish, it doesn't like Aussie accents) the fan on the air conditioner turns down while your speaking. Very well thought of!

Hi mate… assuming UK spec. Auxiliary heating is only available in the PHEV

Péter S moves the steering wheel backward and seat back to make getting in and out of it easier :)

Easy access mode is a brick under the rear left tire incase you forget your keys.

Interior and exterior wise the GLE wins hands down for me, ... ive not driven the new X5 so couldn’t tell you in terms of drive.
