not being wealthy but being obsessed with pinball is brutal. Especially in ‘24 man, jeez Edit: jaws is Elwin’s second best design. Not even close to his worst
@@lfp531 price means nothing to me because I can’t afford a machine whether it’s a Pro priced at 6k or a Bond 60th at 20k. It’s all the same to me: out of reach. That said I don’t even really consider 60th to be a legitimate Elwin design. If I did, it would be his least impressive, for sure. JP and IM are the 2 that speak to me the least. AIQ is probably the least impressive out of the 3 games just mentioned, but I enjoy it the most of those 3. It’s a deep-ruled drain monster, so if the masses decided it’s his worst, I wouldn’t argue against that
The mindset of some hobbiests losing their lunch and racing for their wallets over the shiniest new toy is just a head scratcher for me, and why the current pinball climate with costs sucks so much. Nice looking game but ill wait 6months and save myself 2k
I think it looks great, nice to see someone be bold to try a different approach on a modern pinball. We used to see a lot of this with things like Golden Wings back in the day with three flippers, and Hurricane style lower wireform too.
Remember Spyhunter had the offset flippers as well . I’m worried because that game wasn’t that well received. I’m hoping people are going to enjoy something different this time .
The primo with Gomez did make this a tough decision. The question is are those Sentinel hands playing with the ramps worth the extra $$ for premium? Tough call. Definitely tempting, but I think I might like a couple extra thousand in my bank.
Truly don't have enough positive things to say about the visuals and layout. Now would be the time for Stern to win back the hearts of the pinball scene.
My brother and I are some pretty hardcore Stern haters, but this table has both of us very impressed. I'm really hoping it'll come to an arcade near me as I just moved away from my local arcade which always bought the new Sterns.
Strange coincidence in that I was watching a video last night about The Princess Bride and obviously the key part that P3 relies on is that the bottom third of the playfield is pretty much the same thing on most machines (and with the P3 layout the bottom half of the game is all the same)... and it feels like Jack Danger saw the P3 platform locked into a basic layout, and was just like 'Hold my beer.' 😂
Looks so unique and different and awesome. Only concern really seems to be serious potential for some clunk and some dangerously placed pops. It’s just so different though I just can’t imagine NOT owning one at least for a while. Also it seems like if you don’t hit the ramp on the mini flipper area you drain. Obviously ‘dangerous’ going in there but just how hard is that shot? Either way, very cool idea.
No Italian Bottom on a Stern machine, eh? That I can still experience this! Definitely a welcome surprise I would say, also as it strongly reminds me of Gottlieb´s Gold Wings machine. I've always hoped for a layout like this, but with today's coding possibilities.
Jaws Pro is also extremely stripped down from the LE/Prim. It gets away from criticism because it's a good shooter and the upper playfield isn't a make or break for most people, but nevertheless, it's still extremely stripped down. My concern for the new XM is how it shoots. Seems to be very packed full of shots, and we've seen what happens when you add a ton of shots to a playfield: John Wick, Ninja Turtles, etc. The shots are just not makable for a casual player. I just hope XM shoots and flows well, and doesn't suffer from the staggering lack of flow like John Wick because you can't seem to make three or more shots in a row.
You're about the only person I've heard say that Jaws Pro is "stripped"... I've spent A LOT of time on both a Pro and LE - it's not lacking much. The upper playfield is mostly for looks, and the shark not moving really doesn't matter. They play about the same but the Pro flows a bit better.
I think this layout looks amazing, but I’m going to wait until I have a chance to play it at expo. If it plays as good as it looks, I will be purchasing an LE. Stern has priced themselves out of FOMO due to the price and economy.
@@GonzosPinballFlipperama yea man, you are a refreshing voice in a outstanding hobby. This game looks ridiculously good. It's really really making a difficult decision for me - do I want to sell a few games and pick it up or keep getting projects for now and build up a base for future purchases.
Compare Venom and Wick with this game… It seems STERN listened to their customer base! Toys, kinetic satisfaction, good art, different layout, metal ramps, software won’t be a problem for sure! The only negative is the same Spike 2 system and light control.
I think it looks exciting and fun as well. The Danger Room looks like a beefed up Beast's Lair from Paragon. I have no regrets on Jaws as it is an absolutely amazing game, but I have to say that this looks UNCANNY! There may be room for both...
IDK. Looks like the same old boring comic pin to me. Godzilla looked like a game changer on first video. Foo Fighters and Jaws looked strong. The playfield art looks great but otherwise it feels like Venom 2.
I wish The "King of Flow" never made Star Wars. This Jack Danger game with a Star Wars theme, I think would have been excellent! The game looks sooo good. I actually bought Foo Fighters NIB but sold it because of the horrible callouts and mediocre code at the time. A NIB for me is not really an option because they are so expensive, but with this, there is a possibility that I will sell a couple of machines to get it. (X-Men is absolutely not my kind of theme, but damn this looks great). Can`t wait for Sterns livestream. Thanks for making another excellent video, which they all are.
Thanks for the kind words, very much appreciate it. I think you'll be able to pick up one of these second hand quite easily because they'll sell plenty

Agreed 😂
What's his worst then? Don't say JB Le... That's related to the exagg price tag

Sit up straight and stare at the 1 minute trailer. The 5 minute promo just makes the jaw drop. Awesome!
I’m legitimately blown away. No bullshit. That’s one of the most unique playfields I’ve ever seen. Love the Gold Wings left flipper area throwback.
I was just like you, and then I watched the video of jack playing the game and my jaw dropped!
It’s a must buy for me.
Thanks for video
My pleasure Matthew, thanks for watching. We'll try to get one in asap and do a video tour.
That bottom of the playfield reminds me of Gold Wings.

Loving your work. When I saw the danger room (mini bottom playfield), as a below average player just replace danger with the word drain room.
The primo with Gomez did make this a tough decision. The question is are those Sentinel hands playing with the ramps worth the extra $$ for premium? Tough call. Definitely tempting, but I think I might like a couple extra thousand in my bank.
The more I see, the more I like the pro for value
Truly don't have enough positive things to say about the visuals and layout. Now would be the time for Stern to win back the hearts of the pinball scene.
Best layout on a pinball machine I have seen in 20-30 years. Definitely won my heart and mind. I'll be in for a pro on x-men
Definitely requires them to do more of this -- making the pro and premium not have entirely different tournament strategies

I may very well be picking up the pro for my first machine.
Do it. This is going to be good.
