That "first ever" attempt at 5 balls was supiciously good. Almost flashed it... When doing 4-ball training (as a cascade flash, rather than the usual 4-ball fountain), I found that the biggest initial quirk was throwing Ball 3 and Ball 4 at the same time.
I don’t know I’ve been learning to juggle 4 for the past month and haven’t got past about 15 catches and I’ve been struggling to learn the box with 3 balls but I tried 5 the other night and flashed it in 5 minutes maybe it’s just luck lol
Hey, I am learning 5 balls cascade during this quarantine time. I've had my first flash few days ago and now getting closer to 10. I feel exactly what you 've experienced in this videos every time you were doing one more catch. Such an awesome feeling. Good job man, this is a hard pattern =)
The skill difference between regularly getting 10 catches and over 30 is enormous. People always seriously underestimate how long it takes to properly nail a 5 ball cascade.
Cool vid.i got 30 5 ball flashes today counted on paper in less than 2 hours and got my first 2 7 catches with 5 balls! Only 3rd day of trainning!what helped big was getting right balls.before I wasn't using completely round balls so I switched to tennis balls.inspiring video.i hope I'll be able to juggle 5 easily these next weeks
challenge accepted! I will try to juggle 5 ball flash till 9th March when it is my B'day... at the moment struggling with 4 balls, 3 balls mills mess, not even box yet, a shower one way only... will see, wish me luck
@@senek4663 I failed XD But now I realized there is no reason to hurry. I am training 4 ball variations including the crosses that are needed to learn 5 balls. I am sure this year I get it :P And you?
@@gabriela.ts_ Fair enough, I decided that this year I will also manage the 5 balls juggling. No rush as you say, I'm learning many variations with 3 and 4 first to be really confortable and I will jump to 5 balls as soon as I'm ready =)
Yes!!! Hahaha!!! Finally juggled 5 balls today! After about 19 days of trainning some days and sumtime taking days off I got it! Been watching this video throughout trying to reach my goal of juggling 5.
yesterday I decided I wanted to learn how to juggle 5 balls so I went to JuggleArt to get some good quality juggling balls too, then this video comes up in my feed and guess where he goes? Exactly the same place haha
Nice. Motivates to me to do 5. I can do 4 synchronously and async so think I am ready to start training. I wonder how many times you threw during that month?
I was watching a Try Guys video where they were learning ballet and was scrolling through the comments like I usually do cuz I just like readin comments for some reason and just so happened to stumble upon a comment of yours, and you said something about learning new skills within a month, and I clicked on your channel, and I'm so glad I did, your videos are amazing and I can't wait to see your channel grow and for you to do more amazing things 🤗❤
Sorry about the pun, but I am interested in if you could juggle multiple challenges (e.g. 3 challenges in 3 months), and whether that works better, or is focusing on 1 thing for 1 month better. How about for a given day focus on 1 challenge, with lesser practice on the other 2 challenges? Unless you are already busy doing other things like editing videos and what not. Maybe there could be a way to integrate that in somehow.
The trouble with life, is that you set yourself a goal - like being able to juggle 5 balls. You practice hard for years and never get near it. Then you have to be pragmatic and just go back to three balls. So I'm now at a stage where I would really like to be able to juggle five balls, but I'm not going to make the effort. Perhaps in the next life :) :)
Hard work =/= success, unfortunately. Suggestions for what they're worth are to throw over a bed (saves pickups and frustration), select a prop that's conducive (not all bags/balls are easy to handle), and analyze weak points in your pattern across many attempts of only five throws and catches (it will 90% likely be your subordinate hand throwing low and/or wide). Five is totally attainable!
My record with 5 is about 35 catches, after 7 years of regular practice. Yeah you read that correctly...I'm just here to cheer you all up by comparison to me!
It's best to learn 3 and 4-ball patterns with similar timings in order to learn the five ball cascade. Learn all the prerequisites listed here and you'll be there in no time: libraryofjuggling.com/Tricks/5balltricks/FiveBallCascade.html
Hey I just received your email and happy to see that ur sending it for showing your love to your subscibers and that awesome.... I hope I'll the winner of giveaway...😂😂..... Just kidding....have a nice day...keep uploading.....!!!
No sorry I am calling shenanigans here, I am a juggler, and it took way longer than 1 month to get 5 and I put in well over 1hr a day. I can see you can juggle 5, but I don't believe it took 1 month.
I went from never having juggled to fairly competent with 3 in 3 months, then added a ball every month until 7. Took another 18 months for 8, then 24 months for 9. I also didn't practice numbers, so it's likely if I had done so with the same diligence I put towards 3-5, I could have been doing 8-9 much faster. With coaching, a month is actually somewhat slow 😂
5 balls are pretty easy for me not bragging but I literally learned it in 2 hours and I got 12 catches 3 times that day. So for some people, it is pretty easy. I can get abt 5-7 catches on average.
It doesn’t take long to qualify (10 catches) I got that on my first day too. Keeping the pattern going indefinitely is the hard part. It’s taken me 3 months to consistently get above 30 throws with the occasional 60+ throw run and I wouldn’t even consider myself close to being comfortable with the pattern.

I agree, I think editing was the key here rather than the practice.
They're called "backcrosses", not "around the back". That's like saying "rapid leg flaring" instead of "sprinting".
Also, the first ever "qualify" was only 8 catches, the "8 catch" was 7 catches, and the final "12 catch" was 13 catches.
Byron is great! Met him at the last couple of juggling festivals. Well done on qualifying in a month! You're flying!! :)
He is a legend!
I agree going from 5 catches to 7 catches is a big leap I’ve only gotten 7 like twice
For me 7 to 10 is the hardest
It's taken me years to go from 5 catches to regular runs of 30+.

That getting used to flashing immediately stops at 8.

Starts to juggle for a long run.

Possibly my biggest reaction across all my videos was this one. It was just so frustrating and so exciting to finally have it click!

Definitely much easier to focus only on one, a couple months I did 2 due to travelling and it was very mentally rough :)

Beautiful man!
Thank you!
I could juggle 4 before I started like you
Awesome, its a great fun skill to learn :)
How much money do you spend for trainer?
Around ~$200 for the month.
Started 3 days ago with 5 Balls and now I can do 7 catches but everything more than that seems impossible :D
Try to juggle 4 Balls for 16 catches
Infinitely easier than even a 5 ball flash
I dropped the balls so many times. But now I can juggle 4 balls ! I made a video on my channel: from totally failing to easily juggling.
