"I am broke" is correct if you're referring to being out of money or financially strapped. "I am broken" is correct if you're expressing emotional or physical distress.

In all of my 78 years I can't remember hearing anyone say ‘I'm broken.’ I've read books in which a person is described as being broken by some unbearable circumstance or other, but that’s all. These AI English lessons, if they can be called that, are worthless. There is no substitute that I know of for learning a language the old-fashioned way. It's a natural process for all of us, something that we were born to do, and there's nothing particularly difficult about it. Just don't look for a quick fix from a robot.

English as he/she/I/we/they/it or whomever is not spoke, innit? What makes this robotic nonsense even more worrying is the fact that young people all over the world are learning better and better English, while many native English speakers no longer seem to take the language seriously.

The best of American English is of a very high standard. We just don’t hear much of it in films or TV, where many directors seem to prefer a characterless, accent-less and very basic form of English, perhaps because they hope it will be more easily understood by overseas viewers. Even so, the real thing definitely exists. Try American literature. You’ll be surprised. (I’m British, by the way.)

Slang is not necessarily bad English. It can be a word or phrase used by a particular social group, which does not make it incorrect in context, just meaningless outside the group. Unfortunately, slang is sometimes taken to be the kind of English spoken by people who have difficulty in expressing themselves, whereas people who use real slang as part of their daily speech understand each other perfectly. It's a legitimate version of English or, of course, most other languages, but its use is mostly local, rather than general. As a point of interest, experiments have been made in teaching children using the local slang. This often works just as well as using standard English.

First of all, one expression is not more advanced than the other, they are just different ways of saying the same thing. Second of all I'm broken doesn't mean "I have no money". I'm broke does....I'm tired of pseudo English teachers

I'm very tired can be also replaced by 'I'm beat' (Informal way of saying it though)

I'm beat is generally used when a task cannot be completed. Different in context to I'm very tired.
