  • Thanks so much for watching PART 1!
PART 2 continues the fixes and upkeep to get this 1982 gem of a Chevy Van Motorhome ready for a MAJOR excursion. From fluids to headlights to the ATV trailer, we get it a few steps closer to reliving our honeymoon (6 months travelling to Guatemala and back in a VW camper).
PART 1: • We bought the CHEAPEST... - Purchase, cleanup and a thorough going thru!
PART 3: • We bought the CHEAPEST... "New" Seats, generator and much MORE.

Good work on that old Chevy. Solid chassis. Just some suggestions from a 65 year old mechanic. Please check the transmission when running in park and warmed up. When the engine is not running the pump is not working so the fluid will show much higher on the stick - so my thoughts are that the trans is about 2 quarts low. The dip stick actually has in instructions to check when running and warm in park. Wix filters are much better quality if you can get them :)

Thanks! In part 1 I checked it whem it was warm and it showed the same. Not sure what that means but I'll definitely check again when warm.

Great :)! It has to be running as well when you check it. I didn't hear the engine running that is what worried me :)@@DannebergAcres

Remember the back reservoir is for the front brakes on a master cylinder. Front reservoir is for the back so you need to check for front brake leaks. On older vehicles the rubber lines that goes to the calipers will collapse on the inside, it’s always good to change them out before it goes out while on the road. Good luck 👍🇺🇸

Just take some material cut it to size and glue it on both sides. I use Gorilla glue Or E 7000 glue. It not going to give out on you. Plus if you wanted to take your dog with you, but don't have a place for the dog to sleep. Well take some blackout material and cut it to fit the windows on the doors and Windshield. Use magnets to hold them up. Use a board with padding to cover the seats for your dog bed.
