    I like to practice (and warm-up) with "Progressive Round the world doubles (with bull)". Your first three darts are thrown at D1, D2, D3. If you miss, you stay on that double. If you hit, you move to the next available double. Here's an example...
    1,2,3 - hit D2
    1,3,4 - hit D3 and d4
    1,5,6 ... And so on...
    15,20,Bull - hit bull
    15,20,20 - hit 20
    15,15,15 - hit 15 - Done
    I find this keeps me from getting frustrated if I get stuck on one double because I am still advancing with my other two darts. It also helps with switching, like when you miss D10, hit 6 and switch to D7.

    What Im personally doing different with doubles around the clock practise is as follows, I always start with 20, if I miss in single 20 I immediatly go for double 10, if I hit that in 3 darts (so 1 complete throw = 3 darts to make it clear :p) , the double 10 counts for me, since I didnt hit the double 20, I go back do double 20 and try again, if I hit it with 3 darts, fine, Ill go do double 19, lets say down there I hit 19 with the first dart, I have 19 left, I hit 3 and immediatly go for double 8, if it hits fine it counts, and I scrap double 8 as well, and so on, however, it only counts if you finish it in 3 darts. This really makes you practise throwing all over the board in a nice and fluent way, this is however for players who try to throw a bit faster, when you are a very slow player, I dont recommend it since you will adjust or take a step back when you miss a double

    one of my drills is to throw 3 at 20 , if I get all 3 move to19's, if I dont start again and continue around the board, it has helped a lot although I am not by any stretch of the imagination a good player , but I keep working at it

    Stubbled across your videos man, now subscribed. Excellent advice and drills. Personally I'm struggling to line of sight. I invested in a sightline which helped with the straight-ness of my throw. I'm left eye dominant and a right arm thrower. When I line up with my left eye my throw is like Gregg's plastic bag in a hurricane, oddly if I throw straight with my arm far out to the right; a bit like Joe Cullen, my aim is on point. I'd love to see a video on eye dominance, to see if I'm picking up bad habits. But keep up the great work 👍

    • @RR10kTV
      @RR10kTV 3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for commenting and have done a bit of research on this when I was early in the experiment. My personal view is that early on when working out my throw and eye dominance etc, I realised that the best throw is closest to the eye that your throwing with. If you draw back to the opposite eye for example your left eye dominate like myself and you throw with your right, then you would be coming across your body which makes it difficult to come through straight. Just my thoughts, and main focus is getting your arm through straight and keeping it simple will help with consistency. 😊

    Hello mate a good warm up routine I use is like your double 20 drill except I throw for the big 0 in the number 20 ring. Reason it forces you to use correct technique and full release. Once I get the three in I know I'm pretty much warmed up

      Good variation, I usually only throw to where I would score on the board if i go there but I like the thought process of it and definitely help with a warm up and lactic acid build up for resistance and getting used to pumping the arm 🙌thanks for taking the time to comment 🎯😊

    Great video! Short routine i do and really help is 40-60 finishing, for every finish u get 3 darts only, if u hit the finish u get 1 point, do this every day 1 time for a week, and u get a average score, now the target to hit is the average score, for example my average is 12 points, if i dont get the 12 points i do another round of this game til i reach my average score, overtime u gonna see progess in single double combinations, track every score u get, so u can see progress

      @@RR10kTV i dont have much time at the moment, so thats why i play games like this short but intense, i do the same with doubles, 3 darts at every double, 1 to 20 and bullseye, 1 point for every double that u hit, and hit the average score again, before u move to a next routine, and i finish with a 140 and 100 on the bull, short 30 minutes routine, i do every day

      Thanks Greg and I have a video going on this week that is all about improving these things. I hope this can help 👍 most of the time it will be either not coming through straight or a flick to one side , both of which can be solved by adjusting your throw slightly which takes some practice and drills in my view😊
