Dear Bill Whitaker... Thank you for this deep dive into the drift. It was really good. If I may jump in, please listen. You reported that there are only 11 ranches that now participate, when there used to be 20. You also reported that the Native Americans were forced off of this land. My observation is this; the BLM should consider leasing the public lands back to the tribes, and help them to get established. If 9 ranches would be started up with the tribes, it would boost the economy and provide for quality beef, range fed, thereby cutting down on the corporate feedlot/slaughterhouse way of running things. As a consumer, this would be a big first step in taking back some of the market that consumers are increasingly sickened by. My 2 cents. Thanks for the opportunity! 60 Minutes is much appreciated 💛
The BLM & Native Tribes work about as well as oil & water together, not an opinion but a known fact. It's called reading a number of history books and understanding politics.
This brings back one of my best memories. Riding horses thru the Grand Tetons, moving the horses that belonged to The White Grass Lodge. Truly to ride in God's Country, is the experience of a lifetime and to be treasured.
I worked for Miller 67 Land & Livestock near Big Piney, "Icebox of the Nation," and the Green River Valley is the prettiest place in the whole world--- four perfect seasons, lots of sun, not too Colo/SoCal, best air quality south of Canada... hokahey.
There still are smaller cattle drives, at least here in Colorado. I owned land northwest of Cripple Creek and I would let ranchers graze their cattle on my land and I got a tax break for that. The only downside was the thousands of fresh cow pies 😂
Cattle people would not allow dogs to nip at their legs. Tension means greater muscle mass and weight loss. They also wouldn't allow those dogs to chase them off from water . . . weight loss. Those cowgirls acting like 'they're' running it all saw them staying up there with them yet allowing bear & coyote to prey upon calves. Perhaps the boy was the calf . . . blaming it on the Mormons and the BSA. Ma Joad and the vanishing neighbors.

So much space, no air pollution, no light pollution, lots of nature, beautiful views, and very few people: sensational to see!
Yes it's beautiful in Wyoming during their 2 weeks of summer.
more and more people unfortunately. been living in that area for around 20 years and its gotten so much more tourist-y

I envy the person that gets to call her darling and say goodnight to her at the end of the day.
What happened to the shootings that happened there?
Are those Wyoming or Montana (formerly) Wild Mustangs?? 💕
No. Quarter Horses and mixed breeds.

Why is this the only cattle drive in the USA space can give up their land a path 4 cattle drive
This was a feature on "The Drift." Just one of many, many fall gathers and drives.

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen watching this video 💯☮️🌈🥊🌞🆎❌🌼
@60minutes Why is there not more about Brittany and her background?
It's Shoshone land and the Buffalo, now it's cows and Europeans
Sad ! Very very sad !!!!
The Shoshone and Arapaho both have herds of cattle. Cattle are important to the economies of both tribes.

How does a cow fight? 🤔
They bash each other with their heads. They can hurt each other

The Lord is a fictional character who does not exist. Keep your fairytales out of this
How does psalm 23 fit with this story about a cattle drive?

Neat, but why is this interesting? Do some farmers till their fields with oxen because that’s what their family did 100 years ago?
Yes.
Backwards and cruel practice of treating these cows and calves and horses this way. Barbaric shameful humans. please evolve A LOT!!!!
