Welcome to Oman, one of the least talked about countries in the world.
I still don't know why, it's an amazing country.
During our roadtrip in Oman, we discovered an AirBNB listing for an abandoned 500 year old stone house on the cliff face of the Akhdar mountains. I booked that room so fast... It was no doubt going to be one of the most epic stays of our life... but next was getting there. Little did Eva Zu Beck and I know, that this was going to be a little more of an adventure than we had expected, and found ourselves pushing ourselves through a 30cm crack in the earth the next day. It was a wild ride.

I live in Oman as a western expat for 9 years, it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world! The locals are unbelievably friendly!
I was one of a party that visited Al Soghra when it was still inhabited. We were invited into that "sitting-room" with its wonderful views and met the family including a blind grandfather who was sitting on the floor against the wall to the left of the entrance door. A photo I took of him, I later presented to the son following the old man's death.
I'm living in Dubai for more then 10 yrs and ashamed I never visited Oman before. Astonishing beautiful country............

It’s insane what our brains can cause us to think/feel even though logically you can tell yourself you’re fine! Crazy. I live vicariously through you!! 💗

I'm from Kuwait. I've been to Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar many times. A few years back we did go to that spot where you stayed overnight and it was inhabited! It's kind of sad to hear that the occupants have moved out!

Why do you even watch these type of channels if you have a irrational physical reaction? i never understood panic attacks for things you dont experience... thats your weak mind making you even weaker ... its a downward spiral.... dont allow yourself to fear something you are not doing....
@@rogerelzenga4465 didnt your momma ever teach you if y'aint got somthin nice to say dont say it at all. Seriously tho not everybodys brain works the same. I also dont quite understand panic attacks or unfounded anxiety. But my girl has them and trust me dude she hates them so much but pushes through them and does it anyways. but she cant control that part of her thoughts completly. When your brain sends adrenaline and tells your body your in a life or death situation for no reason theres nothing you can do but try to focus and deal with it as best you can.

Whoa, man. That Airbnb looks like the coolest place to stay in the world! Haha, for a split second I thought you were going to jump back across that gap between the roofs. Amazing that they're able to communicate in that valley by shouting and utilizing the echo. And what an awesome way to save these old, abandoned homes. That cave is also unreal! @@fearlessandfar And what a fine job you do!!! Before I entered mom life, I was a traveling fire performer, artist and stage hand.. I thrive off of travel and experiences. Luckily I have not lost that part of my life completely, but we experience it in a different way. When my daughter was nine months old I started traveling to homesteads across America working in exchange for knowledge and accommodations. Some day when I find a place that feels like home I'll plant my own roots and have my own self sufficient homestead.. but since that's a bit out of my grasp financially, I can at least gain the skills necessary while fulfilling my love of connecting with new and interesting people and new places.
