As plumber I strongly recommend some small moisture alarms on your layout directly under your bathroom plumbing above. They are inexpensive, small and run on 9 volt battery.
I second that! My layout is in the basement also, and the whirlpool tub in the MBR that is near an A/C air return decided to turn on by itself one night while the tub was draining, resulting in several gallons of water pouring down on my benchwork and stored boxes. Luckily I was home so the damage was minimal, but it could have been a disaster!
@flyboyu777 Plumbing over layouts always make me nervous but sometimes it’s unavoidable. But some well place moisture alarms are good idea. There also very small with some the size of cigarette pack or round alarms about the size of hockey puck.
I would be more concerned about sweating pipes rather than actual water leaking or breaks. It’s no different than plumbing to the second floor for the first floor. I think the dark ceiling is cool effect for the basement. 😊
There is bathroom sitting directly over the layout. Clearly you can see 1 1/2” P-trap below the ceiling joist that is picking up a bathtub. Bathtub can have many leaks as the waste and overflow assembly is prone to leaks with gasket failures. The 4” cast iron closet bend is picking up the toilet that can have overflows and wax seal failure that will not be detected until someone flushes and end up on the layout. It’s possible there small 4” lead pipe connecting the closet bend to the toilet flange. If this is the case this needs will need replacement immediately as failure will definitely happen. As plumber for 34 years I have seen multiple plumbing failures cause damage whatever is below it. A few well place moisture alarms may give heads up before major damage occurs.
I can't believe someone said Eric and Chris are more popular Misses the point completely You guys are so non competitive.mutual supporting I find it hard to have a favorite All of you are awesome And really good guys too
Another great video! Sorry I missed the actual livestream. Thanks for answering all the questions and sharing your thoughts. It's great hearing all your advice, tips, and thoughts on the hobby.
Would you do a video to demonstrate the MTH LIONEL crossover running from wiring to running both engines simultaneously? Great layout. Watching your progress inspires me Thanks
The layout just keeps getting better! I love seeing the Wheeling running. How much of an influence is the Wheeling and Lake Erie on your layout design?

Ah, Jason. You did a livestream without me? I was doing homework. I could’ve tuned in. 😂
Strangly i like the uncluttered look of just the bare table like you have.
The mountain adds much to your layout.
You could just paint a black hole on the mountain where the road goes and do the flattened Wil E Coyote on it!!
Audio cut out just before the ad
