Trains at Halifax - 07/01/2025

Filmed on 07/01/2025. Happy New Year!!! And all the best for 2025. So, as a new year begins it also introduces a brand new format for this year. With a brand new look to the format, now its own intro and all new captions format makes things for the better. And we start the year with the first of five, yes count them five stations of the day as we begin with Halifax (Season 12 Episode 1)
A truly wonderful winter scene is set for the morning hour or so stint at the start of the Calder Valley Line and home of the chocolate factory as well. Sadly, due to delayed connections getting to this station, we didn't see any Grand Central units at this station but nevertheless Halifax provides plenty of passenger action.
CAF Town Halifax is known for as its mostly the Northern class 195's which operates to and from this station but does provide Sprinter variety. One of the oldest and still going strong for Northern is their class 150/2 which from Halifax can be seen working on the hourly shuttle services between Bradford Interchange to Huddersfield via Brighouse. To the trains which saved British Railways is the successful class 158's which can be seen working on the Halifax to Hull diagrams.

Thanks for showing off my local station, Halifax train station is small and simple, nothing special but it does its job, maybe come back in ten years when they will have finally got round to rebuilding the station
