In Porto you have Padoca, a full vegan bakery that replicate our traditional bakery, cakes included. You have Lupin, one of the best vegan food in the city. You have a fancy place in Em Carne Viva, it's a fancy vegan place, the food is okay'ish if you look at its price. And finally, a special place to my heart, Casa da Horta, it's a DIY collective with the most amazing pairs of hands I have ever seen cooking.
Hi! I'm vegan and from Porto :) glad you found some good spots to eat :) The pastel de nata I like the most is actually from a restaurant called Lupin. I think their custard is better. But you are well served in daTerra as well!! Casanova is actually the only place where I eat francesinha :D it's sooooo goooood!! Funny fact - to add to you story about the owner making francesinha for 20 years - when he was developing the recipe for a vegan francesinha, he had the help of some friends of my brother who are vegan and gave a lot of insight into making the best version ;) and I can tell you it is really close to the original! The taste is spot on.
Miosotis I wanted to go to Lupin so bad but I didn’t have the time to squeeze it in haha but good to know Da Terra is approved :D and so glad I got to visit Casanova! That’s amazing you had the experience to help make the dish and approve it! I’m definitely glad I got to eat the best one in Porto.
Olá Miosotis sabes se também há bifanas veganas? Adoro bifanas mas só como vegano desde dois anos. E tenho mesmo saudades do sabor. Vivo na Alemanha, mas sou meia portuguesa.
Wow! That food looks tasty! I’m learning Português on my app. I’ll have too make a visit there one day. I heard the people are quit affectionate. They might try to hug you. During this pandemic. I no longer hug anyone. Hugging has change a lot for people around the world!
@Rated V Yeah and I hear we might all have to keep wearing face mask for 2 more years. They don’t know. Only GOD knows. Maybe by 2024 things will get back to normal. Thank lovely! Yes, I really do want to try out the food there. Will you be visiting there again? Maybe some parts of Brasil?
@@Yah-Izoa-Hakaboth I'm hoping to start travel vlogs again end once things start opening up and I will be back in Europe in late summer. Can I ask a huge favor from you? I'm struggling on UA-cam in terms of how I should establish my video style/ audience. Can you tell me what you like about my channel and what you would want to see more of? Example: Only travel, some recipes, restaurant reviews etc) My viewers opinions really matter to me! Thank you in advance for your help!
@Rated V Oh gosh! Uhhhh I don’t know. Umm, well to be honest. I just came across this video 2 weeks ago. I hope you noticed I’m browsing through. lol Help me to understand. So, you need more subscribers to make money? Or does it go based off of how many views? I don’t know how UA-cam works, but your video was lovely. If you still need me to give you ideas (Which wouldn’t matter to you anyway probably), then okay. Go live when you travel to different vegan restaurants, Museums, exploring nature. That’s more organic too me, personally. I don’t care for the edits that much. If you mess up in it. We; as the viewers are getting more of how you are and that’s more natural. I’m sorry, I know I sound stupid explaining this. 🤦🏽♂️ But anyway, it would really make me feel as if I’m there with you and others too. Uhh, I’m stumped right now. If something else comes to mind. I will return haha!
For me Portuguese sandwich was must have dish in Porto. I wonder i could have covered more Portuguese food in my Porto video. But u almost tried every Portuguese food i guess 😜

Franceshina isn't quite my taste but I love pastel de nata 😋
Love your vibe. If gluten free Portugal is NOT friendly to eat out 🙁vegetarian options are overloaded with loads of gluten.
Can someone tell me what kind of sauce that was on the meat and cheese sandwich thing? Anyone know lol? I want to try to make it!
It's a tomato based sauce but here's a recipe I found! veganuary.com/recipes/francesinhas/maybe I should make it too haha
You missed the Vegan Cat Cafe called "Porto dos Gatos"
I know! :( There were soo many locations to try but sadly I only had two days to eat haha
Nola Kitchen has some good vegan options
