- I experienced Holi 2022 in Delhi with my friends @GoWithAli and @worldnomac . We started by exploring the streets in old Dehli and getting into fights before we took on the main event which was a party at the Sheraton Hotel in New Dehli.
Holi is a popular ancient Hindu festival, the festival celebrates the eternal and divine love of Radha Krishna. It also signifies the triumph of good over evil, as it celebrates the victory of Lord Vishnu as Narasimha Narayana over Hiranyakashipu. It originated and is predominantly celebrated in the Indian subcontinent but has also spread to other regions of Asia and parts of the Western world through the South Asian diaspora.

As a tourist , I was in Delhi on the same night , at the hotel I stayed , I heard the loud party noise , all night , walking along the street , someone throw a bucket of water all over me from a building and someone rushed up to me in the street and painted my face blue .
I didn't know about this festival day until I arrived in India .
Ohh god I'm sorry 😂 people get cheered up when they see tourist to celebrate with
Haha! You got a first hand experience 😉 Yeah normally if someone doesn't like colors and water on their faces and clothes, they stay indoors. In fact this Holi even I stayed indoors coz of personal reasons.

Rishikesh, Haridwar , kedarnath, badrinath, Shimla ,Nainitaal ,Mussoorie
Vrindawan, Varanasi, Mathura, Darjeeling, Northeast india and south india are best

It is harassment to foreigners playing holi.
This beautiful festival is not only for Hindu religion but for every religion which brings colors in to our lives. As a Muslim I'm blessed to my Hindu brothers for giving such a vibe and beautiful festival to the world. I didn't play this year but will surely next year InshAllah. Love from 🇵🇰

But Hardoi (UP) is the city of Holi.
I would suggest you to stick to the mountains now that the summer is coming plains will be very hot . please visit the Indian Himalayas . Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh are the Himalayan States you must go to for incredible natural beauty and very friendly people. Ladakh is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

5:33 we give money while dancing to the dhol players or any other instruments player in festival or wedding . Don't know why, maybe just a way of celebration.
And it's also maybe because you are foreign , they taught you will be easy to get money, because usually they don't ask, we give them on our own.

Only one advice I can give just politely say "nahi". And move far away from there or just threatened them by saying " sau number par call karunga" , I will call to 100. It's police number here in India. Maybe few scammer ran away just from this.

Great video. Holi is also celebrated here, paint and all, in parts of NYC, areas with a sizable Indian population. I heard about in on the local news (a few years ago, when I still watched the local news) and more than a few long-time residents of those areas were very surprised, to say the least!
