Upgrading a WLToys 124017 V2 RC Car to Run Off Road for My Dogs to Chase!

- So I bought a WLToys 124017 V2 as an upgrade to the older/smaller RC car I had been using to exercise my greyhounds.
I decided to upgrade it to make it tougher, and faster off road.
I’m really pleased with it, the dogs absolutely love chasing The Gerald.

Ohh yeah!! :-D we like this,we like this a lot,i used to combine RC and high explosives,it was a lot of fun,but i'm now thinking RC and grayhounds are even more fun!! :-D top job!! :-)

Lovely! I have more or less exactly the same car as your original one, and that's plenty fast for me - I definitely would have crashed the new one too, especially with that much obstacles. You need a better test road... 😅

Wow buddy. You really nailed it on this video. What a great way to get a close up running video. If my dog wasn't so old and small I'd strap a gopro to him as well. Your dogs get plenty of exercise.

I'd do this for my dog but he's a bit old and not so energetic these days. He does like to try and catch my drone though!

I bought a new boxer dog 14 months ago and purchased a Traxxas bandit VXL about 6 months ago (supposed to do 70 MPH)
And I was going to be really upset if she didn't chase it because it cost a lot of money.
But she went completely ballistic over it, she LOVES it, she will literally chase it until he hind legs give out. (Be careful not to over exercise your dog especially in hot weather) It's much faster than it needs to be.
But I want this one because it's 4 wheel drive. I tried playing after it rained and the ground was wet and the rear wheel drive was so hard to control in the wet grass and mud puddles.
It was funny though, that thing would throw mud ten feet behind it and she was completely caked in mud.
And I had to eventually replace the tail fin cause that's where she grabs it and shakes it.
My first time driving my 124017 and I made it just about as far is you I got a few decent runs in while having it wreck from hitting bumps and flying though the air by on the one run I swerved under my car tire going about full speed and broke the differential just like you: but mine broke slightly less where I was about to JB weld it back together until parts show up

That looked like loads of fun. I wish I had thought of something like that back when I was in my early teens. We had 2 greyhound rescues, Kohdi and Buckley. Buckly looked like Thor and was really tall. We took them gatherings and they would chase a white rag around a track. Great dogs and very loving. I loved the greyhound lean when they would lean against your leg and hug you with their neck. I have a bloodhound these days.
Yeah, these two are both ex-racers. Most loving animals you could ask for, and yes, the lean is present! Bloodhounds are super softies as well though, beautiful animals. :)
