Oh Greta, you can't imagine how long I've searched for good gourmand coconut fragrance. I've tried decants of Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Akro Rise, Mancera Coco Vanille, Kayali Utopia, Kyse, Madera Omnia and tons of less expensive ones etc. I did purchase Hufflepuff and absolutely love it. Nice video! My wife and I were comparing our bottles of FDB Santal Complete and Oud Orange Intense and we both agreed Santa Complet was somewhat light and not as profound an expression of coconut as Oud Orange Intense, and she is Brazilian and cooks with coconut a lot.
Oud Orange 🍊 is definitely more intense and vibrant! I love that one!
I thought about adding Thameen, Blue Heart also. But the coconut isn’t really prominent. It’s more of a supporting role.
I blind bought Blue Hope it was so hyped up and to be honest I don’t get any coconut in the fragrance I’m trying to love it especially with the price tag. It a little bit reminds me of Nishane Fan your flames. Gourmand fragrances are my Jam all year round I think that’s where my nose is most grateful 🥹
Yes, the coconut is just blended in there. I wouldn’t call it a coconut fragrance. I do like it better than Fan Your Flames, which is masculine to me.

Greta, you mentioned that small French fashion boutique that produces fragrances. There is one in the UAE, Louzan, that mainly sells abayas but also makes perfumes and bukoor. They have a coconut forward perfume called Mayasin. It is phenomenal! Get your hands on it if you can ❤ Mind you, it could be a dupe (but personally I have not smelled anything like it yet)

That vanilla powder sounds good! I like the beachy salty skin coconut vibes bc it reminds me of summer days, but for edible coconut my favorites are Santal complet, Hiram green moon bloom, a natural coconut with tuberose. I’m surprised you didn’t mention Primera de Marbella, I bought it bc if you and the coconut is quite unisex, really like it reminds me of Santal complet 🥥
Amore torrido shares a note in Buontalenti that disturbs me, I don’t know if it’s the benzoin or apricot, or the lily, but it’s enough to distract me from enjoying the scent.

My favs are amber, vanilla then gourmand, not many florals. I buy a lot of indie and a few are tropical. .
I have the OG of Hufflepuff, Disumano, and Minnie Mouse, but I also have the Dapper version of each of them. Dapper does an amazing job! Travis is such an artist 👌❤️

@gretabeth I am desperately looking for something to replace Eros pour femme ray de toilette. It’s a raspberry lemon gelato opening with a sandlewood or woody base. I think. Please. I love this but need it to last longer and the combo of sweet and then like bright is everything. It’s the only fragrance I love that isn’t super gourmand, but doesn’t last.

Now that I've changed careers and decided to teach, that wish list is piling up quicker than I would like- no longer a new fragrance per week. 😞 I knew to expect that obviously 🙄 but it's hitting home harder with my frag obsession harder than anywhere else. @@GretaBeth I know what you mean. I always get women commenting on it during the first 2 to 3 hours. The woman that developed it is very talented even though the brand doesn't really match the profile. It's worth a try. Sometimes thing get wrongfully stigmatized.

Oh no, what happened to the house of sillage website? I used to be able to access it perfectly fine from Europe and have it shipped to a hotel, but now it will only let me go to an international version 😢 (with a different limited selection and no sales or gifts with purchase 😢)

They arent the same, but in same tropical ballpark. Different fruits, same vibe. I think Amore has sone kind of pheromones in it though. It gets mad compliments, LIP doesn’t get.
