that makes me feel better, I found out that I was in a space where a teen tested positive. We were all wearing masks and I had very little if not any contact with the person I am still getting tested, but only as a precaution. I am going to share this with my team at work, thanks!

Excellent information. We must clarify all the information available. There are many scenarios we must think of.

This is THE BEST VIDEO which makes crystal clear about the risk of transmission in a particular situation. Thank you sooo much Dr for making such a profoundly impactful informative video on a topic which little bit confusing. Dr, you are doing greaaaat service to many people by allaying their fears and giving clarity. God bless you with all strength and health to continue this good work. Thanks, Doc. I used to get scared to death when I go out to buy groceries. But just the same, social distancing, wearing masks, and frequent handwashing is the best defense.

Wow, you answered some of my question which I have been going crazy since the beginning. I feel more in charge and able to go to the grocery store without all that fear which is killing. Yes, I do wear mask, gloves, face shield but so fearful. I do have one question, how to handle the issue of visiting a dentist. Yest, I read cdc but I have compared how the protocol are different from some countries like Israel. From what I saw it seems they go to the extreme of taking precaution, going to a dentist is truly fearful for me and many others. Thank you .

I just had fillings at dentist last week. Today a call from dentist office saying I was exposed. Offered testing. Wouldn't say if it was staff or patient!!! I hate that. What to do now?

I have someone at home with covid me and my kids were exposed to the person in the same room. I told him to get tested and to maintain hisself isolated but he didn't listen later to find out he was tested positive. My heart dropped me and my kids been away from him in our room since that person doesn't follow quarantine rules and refuses to keep his room door closed. I hope my kids and I won't test positive when we get tested.

I’d love to hear your advice for teachers who often can’t open the window to circulate air and are stuck in relatively small rooms with kids. We may be able to social distance (I teach HS and 6 ft shouldn’t be a problem) but with 90 minute periods, I’m concerned. Thanks for these videos!

While there is no PhD hanging on my wall, so take it with a grain of salt, I heard that kids do spread viruses more than adults. So while the kiddies might not catch it, or have many symptoms, they sure can spread it.

The gym reopened in my area, its a very large space, national chain gym. Masks are required but its not easy to keep that mask on when you are running on the treadmill, people pull them down to breath, both times I have been there since reopening I counted not more than 25 to 30 people, it is kept very clean and they have hand sanitizer placed about. Im not sure of the risk in this environment, ventilation is very good, air condition is on and large ceiling fans are running, you can feel air movement. This is in PA.

Months ago when I feared that I might have it I could not get a PCR test. Whatever I had it failed to produce anything close to life threatening. I can get a PCR test now but I no longer have any symptoms. Antibody tests are too unreliable to be used for finding out if you were previously exposed but no longer have the infection.

Dr Risinger, based in the data you showed in your video, what’s your opinion about reopening baby nurseries and preschools? I have a two year’s son and I need him at school to extend my work journey at the clinic I work as radiologist. I’m pretty confident that my son will be safe from covid 19 in the preschool he attends.

This is good news. But when you spoke of viral load, that is a bit scary. This is not a simple virus. It is complex, right? I do feel the safest, at my age of 65, live alone. So far I have remained on course with CDC guidelines and have followed your postings for a couple of months or more now. Every day I check oxygen level and temperature. I also pay attention to eye protection with some really nice looking, low profile safety glasses that form an airtight seal. I wash my hands but not as often as I shuld. But when I got out shopping, I wash really well. Face and hands. Thank you Dr. Risinger

Thank you for your informative videos. Re: the minimum infectious dose, do you have to be exposed to all 1000 particles at once or cumulatively over a certain period of time? Is there any info on how long this stays airborne or dissipates in various conditions? Are there any concerns about short range slipstream if walking/biking/open window driving in the slipstream of an infected person?

Everyone who doesn’t like to wear a mask should watch this video. Mask is no brainer. Who says that wearing or not wearing mask is about practicing their freedom, please think about not to hamper others freedom while practicing yours. Watch out those who are vulnerable around you. Its about life. Thanks. Wear the damn mask.
