I'm not too thrilled how this edit turned out, but I'd almost given it up on multiple occasions, so I decided to push through and finally finish it already. I have quite a few fun upbeat Gotham edits in the works and I will definitely be finishing one of those next. ;D

You know, Ed's character arc could've been prevented if they'd just LISTENED to him. He clearly had trouble communicating. He could recite information but had trouble expressing his own ideas. His solution? All answers must be in the form of a question. I mean, think about it. Think about his personality, his style of killing, even his NAME. Look at his crimes. He's loud, he's flamboyant, his kills are public. It's all a way of saying "DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW?" And the icing on the cake? If you solve the riddle, you get to live. It's not just a calling card or a theme. He forces you to listen carefully, forces you to do what Harvey Bullock never did, forces you to SOLVE THE RIDDLE. All he wants is to be heard, to feel important and understood. And if they had taken the time to listen in the beginning, none of this might've happened at all.

I don't know why, but to me that line is just heartbreaking, Barbara is such a tragic character.

This is honestly beautiful. The part where they're all laughing and when Ed realizes that people think what he is doing is bad really hurt it just made me feel something really sad. I like how this is more about the mental and emotional struggles they go through. 🙂

I've watch a lot of your edit and this one is extraordinary. Connect by their lines, less violence but more emotional, tragic yet beautiful. Their performance were so underrated, such a shame.
If Gotham could just get some decent psychiatrists, I swear... but I guess we're a bit beyond that now. In any case, this is a beautiful video--I love all the character analysis! You really bring all the different parts of the story together so well, and it's just so genuinely moving, it's lovely.

This feels both tragic and celebratory at the same time, beautiful work Spellbound. I'm glad there are people in the world who can see the good in Gotham, it is a flawed show (at least in my opinion) but what it does right, it does exceedingly well and it's great to see that showcased in tributes from you and other Gotham fans.

I recently started watching Gotham and just finished the first season but as of now, this has actually become my favorite edit of all time
You arranged all these parallels together so well and I love that the dialogue and sound effects are more of the focus but the soft music in the background still adds so much

Wow I love this video! I have never seen this perspective of Gotham before and I love it. I never really thought about how many of these characters are mentally ill and that they have been through serious trauma to make them so "crazy". This video is kind of sad but in a good way. It is incredible how you managed to analyse this details and put them all together and they fit perfectly. I love this “mentally ill” theme. I do believe most of them have mental issues. But I kind of understand why, some of them were broken by society like Penguin and Nygma that got pushed to insanity. Anyways, I don’t want to write you a novel hahah ! Great video!
