- Today Pastor Stovall Weems of Celebration Church in Jacksonville, FL, claimed to have seen Jesus face to face, and heard His voice audibly with his ears. Something that is an absolute impossibility in the Church Age according to the Bible.
As fate would have it, I just happened to be sitting in the congregation of Celebration Church this Easter Sunday morning, at the 11:30 AM service. There were thousands of people in attendance, so many people that they delayed started the service until around 12:15 PM to allow all the people to come in. I started filming video from the moment the pastor said the following words.

The bible is full of stories of people seeing God and living.

Now The End Begins .... If you turn your ear from HIS instructions/ law or have lawlessness in your heart (which means you don’t do them) HE does not hear your prayers and they become an abomination.

It is truly amazing how it is so easy to discount someone else's experience because you yourself didn't experience it. Sad that no one mentioned how many souls were led to Christ or lives changed from their teachings. These Pastors are human, not perfect as no one is, but are humbled and kind people who loves God and the thousands of people God placed in their care to minister through various ministries within the church from counseling, feeding, providing resources to those in need. They are not prosperity pastors constantly asking for money for themselves through false teachings. Those who are judging look within your perfect selves and live your life and stop trying to discredit others. And guess what, God loves you despite you not being perfect, not having an encounter with Him or could hear His voice. Shalom
The whole money comment didn't age well.. I love Stovall but he hasn't handled things well nor in a biblical way either.
I've read about Muslims coming to faith as Jesus revealed Himself to them. A Kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. Satan is not going to send Muslims to repentance and to serve Jesus. Is there an explanation for that? I dont know this ministry, it's fruit or this man. Did the message align with Scripture? Perhaps in the days that follow, when the fruit can be examined, we can judge the fruit. I'm not convinced that Jesus doesnt show Himself as He Wills. The veil is getting much thinner as the day approaches. My prayer is that Holy Spirit reveals the whole Truth of this matter....As it seems Muslims are coming to Christ in a manner you believe they should not.

Sarah Tennessee In the last fifthteen years Jesus has been appearing to Muslims in visions and dreams, and I believe that is due to an urgency regarding His soon return and also this is happening in Muslim countries where Christianity is outlawed.
I've seen Jesus face to face also. Not once but a few times and guess what He came and rebuked me of my sins. I walked into my bed room one day and saw Him. The look on His face was stern and not too happy. "He said depart from me". I became numb I couldn't even feel my face I was terrified like no other time in my life. As I stood there unable to move from being so terrified of His words, He says it again, "depart from me" I stood there thinking I'm done, this is it, I am finished, I must leave. These are the words I never wanted to hear and here I was not only hearing them but Jesus was standing in front of me saying it. He said the words again, "depart from me" and I began turning around to leave my room. As I walk out the door He says "come here" so I turned around. He asks me "what are you doing?" I said leaving, He asks why? I said "because you told me to, so I have to leave" So He says "come sit down". So I did. He told me my perverse acts would not be allowed into His kingdom. I stood there unsure of what exactly He was talking about. He then told me to go to sleep, so I did. That very next day He showed me exactly what I was doing and sternly corrected me. I asked Him to help me stop, and He did. I have never repeated those acts to this day. This is the Jesus I know.

Those passages will be fulfilled in the time of Jacob's trouble, NOT in the Church Age.
We had a meeting with Pastor Stovall last night. This man is a godly man. Him and his wife are very humble believers of the "Resurrected Christ". If anyone have a question, just email him, or just simply don't accept his words. But, going on public media and accusing him of false prophet, it's NOT God's way. My husband and I love Celebration Church and all the pastors. God bless you amazingly!
Jesus is at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven (Colossians 3:1). It’s important that Jesus sit and remain at God’s right hand, because it is there where he makes intercession for us. Peter writes that we cannot now see Christ (1 Peter 1:8-9). Paul the Apostle said that Jesus appeared last to him (1 Corinthians 15:7-8). And not even Paul was allowed to relate the details of their meeting (2 Corinthians 12:4). One should rightly suspect the frivolity of a Florida seeker-friendly pastor being the next, after Paul, to see the resurrected Christ and - unlike Paul - being permitted to blather on about the details.
Why would someone make up such a tale? There are several possible reasons. The first is that the individual may be trying to become a part of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), a dangerous charismatic movement that asserts that Apostles still exist today (and seeing the resurrected Christ was a prerequisite for Apostleship, and so NAR leaders all have their personal testimony of having seen Jesus face-to-face). Or, this phenomenon often happens when there is strife or inner-turmoil in the church and the spiritual leader is trying to demonstrate their special status as a messenger of God. Or, a book-deal could be in the works, which is often the case. One thing is for sure, however, Pastor Weems did not see Christ face-to-face.
that is a statement that is not biblical since the bible (new testament) is clear that Jesus did appear to his disciples after his ascension to heaven. Jesus can probably divide his copy since he appeared to 500 people all at the same time. Chances are if he can 500 people, he can also do as many more as He wishes. I'm sure some lied about seeing Jesus, but not everyone lies. I don't know about that pastor, but I know that if God wants to appear, who can question Him ? Paul was the last apostle. That is what that meant. Stephen saw Jesus "standing at the right hand of God" prior to his martyrdom (Acts 7:55). Saul experienced Conversion on the road to Damascus when he was blinded by a bright light and told "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting" (Acts 9:3-5). The Lord Jesus appeared to Ananias in Damascus, instructing him to baptize Saul of Tarsus (Acts 9:10-19). The "Spirit of Jesus" redirected Paul, Silas, Timothy, and Luke on the second missionary journey towards Troas, where they boarded a ship for Macedonia, the first recorded introduction of Christianity into Europe (Acts 16:7-10). The Lord reassured Paul to stay in Corinth after he had baptized Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue (Acts 18:9). Jesus actually appeared to Paul in the Temple of Jerusalem (Acts 22:17-18)! The Lord stood by Paul in Jerusalem and advised him that he was to "bear witness" to Him in Rome (Acts 23:11). His final appearance in Scripture was to John on the island of Patmos in the Book of Revelation (1:10-1:20) and not Paul.

This is so wrong! Paul saw Jesus! why wouldnt that guy-brother or I or anyone else see Him also? Did he really saw Him, we dont know, but He can and it is totally biblical and you are wrong when saying that it is impossible according to the Bible .. here it is .. please consider this and repent brother .. like prosperity statements are wrong, so are yours, denying the power of God
Many have seen the Lord after his resurrection, so many spiritually jealous people in this comment section that need to repent. There are many people in the bible who have seen the Lord hundreds of people. Not only did he preach for 40 days after his resurrection to many people, there are other scriptures in the bible like with the parents of Samson who thought they would die for seeing the Lord and Jesus says "do not worry for you will not die" after they had seen his face, the bible says Moses talked to the Lord face to face as a man talks to another man. God is pouring out his spirit on all flesh right now thousands of people all over the world are seeing Jesus Christ. I have talked to the Lord and seen him multiple times praise be to him. Oh ye of little faith! I can see why so many of you have not seen the Lord some of your attitudes are worse then non believers please repent, and pray for faith, and stop scoffing and mocking those who have seen the Lord. I have seen Jesus face to face a few times. I think some get spiritual jealously and think "well if we could see Jesus then he would see me so i don't think he saw him". I have seen the Lord a few times, and thousands of others online are seeing him as well just as the bible says he is pouring in his spirit in the last days and men and women are having dreams and young men are having visions, and our sons and daughters are prophesying. Jesus is showing himself to a lot of people right now, show faith instead of doubt and maybe he will show himself to you as well.
@@ProphetsAmongUs It is not jealousy. It's discernment. It's really sad a lot of us have been deceived (especially those other current members who attend the church). Unfortunately, the holy spirit has led me to find the truth from trusted Christian sources and the holy bible and to avoid this church. I just pray for those people who are still deceived, and pastors at the church.
I forget which verse, but the Bible says not to trust a “preacher” who dresses like a member of a boy band.
Seriously though, I went with my girlfriend to several of his sermons and you could sense that he’s a phony from another solar system. How people take this guy serious is beyond my comprehension.

He didn't see Jesus read the scriptures,when Christ returns again we will see him the same way he ascended.

That does not say no one will ever see him as many have.
Jesus does visit people today just as he always has since Abraham.

God is a Spirit and is invisible but many many people have seen Jesus Christ and see the Father in him.

Amen, thousands upon thousands of people are seeing the Lord right now as he pours his spirit out on all flesh, there are people all over the scriptures who have sen the Lord Samson's parents as well and he says "do not worry for you shall not die" as they talked to him face to face. Also, the bible says that Moses spoke to the Lord face to face as one man speaks to another, not to mention Jesus taught thousands of people after his resurrection for forty days and forty nights and sent them out two by two. Thousands of Muslims are coming to Jesus after Jesus has been showing himself to them. I have been blessed to have spent time with Jesus he even took my spirit to Heaven, and i got to talk to him he is wonderful and awesome! I think it is about spiritual jealousy and a lack of faith. If you don't think that you can ever see Jesus then you don't have the faith to be rewarded with such a blessing. Here is what the bible says, there are many who have seen the Lord.

Everyone on here judging and calling Pastor Stovalll a liar and saying a lot of other negative, hurtful things. Have any of you actually been to our church? Have you sat under his teaching? Did you even listen to this full message? Because he and Pastor Kerri were very clear that this was not a face-to-face meeting with Jesus, as we understand it. But that this was a vision and Pastor was in somewhat of a trance, which is actually VERY Biblical. All your scriptures speak of false prophets who are trying to impress people and get people to follow them. Throughout this message, Pastor Stovall only highlighted the character of Christ and encouraged people to follow Him. The emphasis was not put on the meeting, as much as it was put on knowing/understanding what Jesus is like. His description is the SAME Jesus we see in the Bible. And the main message was that Christ is welcoming and is here to love and accept everyone if they'll let Him. Futhermore, Celebration Church has impacted and changed the lives of THOUSANDS of people ALL OVER THE WORLD. In 20 years, they have only ever preached the inerrant Word of God and the truth of the scriptures. Pastor Stovall is one of the most genuine and vulnerable men I have ever met. He and Pastor Kerri are two of the MOST humble leaders I have ever known. They love God and love His people and their goal has ALWAYS only been to see people loved, free, and welcomed into the family of God.

Based on what was spoken in this video, there is no reason to doubt the man or judge the man, or cast a stone. We have no idea, other than what has been claimed by Geoffrey in his article, what goes on inside this church. God have mercy on us all. Some of us are in for a BIG, BIG awakening when we stand before our Saviour.
In all fairness to me, I didn't "claim" anything. I attended a service, and videotaped the EXACT words of the pastor who said he heard the voice and saw the shape of Jesus with his ears and eyes. Everything I say he said...he said. No "claims" here at all, just factual reporting.

Thousands upon thousands of people are seeing the Lord right now as he pours his spirit out on all flesh, there are people all over the scriptures who have sen the Lord Samson's parents as well and he says "do not worry for you shall not die" as they talked to him face to face. Also, the bible says that Moses spoke to the Lord face to face as one man speaks to another, not to mention Jesus taught thousands of people after his resurrection for forty days and forty nights and sent them out two by two. Thousands of Muslims are coming to Jesus after Jesus has been showing himself to them. I have been blessed to have spent time with Jesus he even took my spirit to Heaven, and i got to talk to him he is wonderful and awesome! I think it is about spiritual jealousy and a lack of faith. If you don't think that you can ever see Jesus then you don't have the faith to be rewarded with such a blessing.
