The lord god is great and good and he proves he exists thue the complexity and beauty of all of the life he created
Nice post Amen Jesus Remember to always capitalize the Lords name Peace
I have a wonderful guy that hangs in my olive tree! He is feasting on the fruit rats in the area. But people here in put poison out for the fruit rats which is insane and should be outlawed! God knows they have to save one or two oranges but not the Owls. Arizona is insane
Isn't that sad, they are their own worst enemies! I majored in Sylviculture/re wilding my land on the island of Montreal (we are a micro-climate/major migratory runway) had my neighbours hating me, the city would wreck my lawn at night but I wasn't intimidated, decades later the city is begging us to re-wild simply because they're a better educated lot! 💋
People don’t even think about the line of death vermin poison causes. An education plan would help too.
I love owls more than any fruit tree
Hey how is he holding up?
Yep. The owl is sitting pretty. He is telling all the bird watchers to " take a good look at beautiful me."
She
@@jeffbryan4019 Thanks for pointing out it is a girl. No matter what, the owl is a real beauty. I could have gone on about my life never realizing that. 😉
Makes me remember my childhood, waiting for the school bus in the morning I'd often hear an owl during certain seasons. I miss the sounds of the forest and swamp some nights, falling asleep to the frogs and crickets and occasional bellowing bull alligator during breeding season.
Man, you were making me really nostalgic up until the gator part. It's the same for me, but I was a northern boy. I long for the spring chorus of frogs, toads, and redwing blackbirds. That stuff is just good for the soul. I believe country folk are happier and kinder because of it. God doesn't want us to live in urban human coops.
I miss my great horned owls where I live . They moved away because of deforestation .
The look of an owl can hypnotize you...
Owls have amazing tools to hone in on the smallest movement, incredible survivalists
They can hear a mouse from 900 feet away .
This session of autumn in the forest is now is session, the honorable Judge Hooter presiding.
Judge Hooter: Thank you forest Officer Sparrow, I will now hear the testimony.
The Great Horned Owl helps control the Skunk population.
Skunks and rabbits.
Lovely Hooter :)
One of natures critters :)
Indeed!
Love ,Love it being a night owl myself , a few years back on a early spring Nebraska morning along side
the Mighty Mo River I walked up on a huge Great Horned Owl (probably female due to large size) eating a bird she never missed a mouthful , speaking softly I just eased back & away snapping photos, few days later I went back gathered up the remains taking them to a Conservationists ( Game Warden) finding out that her breakfast was a Red Tailed Hawk
NOTE to left of this comment is one the photos of her as my thumbnail
Gorgeous animal. I had the privilege of seen TWO sitting on the same branch mountain biking a few years ago (in broad daylight). Not sure if it was a mated pair. Few weeks later saw a pair (most likely the same) flying together on the same mountain as I biked.
i've heard that sound in years past when i lived in more wooded areas. now i know what it is.
Yep - It's either Owls or Ghosts! Here is another older video you might like ua-cam.com/video/i9nXaL7_RE4/v-deo.html
We have GHOs in SoCal. Used to hear their hoots coming from one particular tree near my place. One time and only for a minute or so, the hoots alternated with very loud screeches. Hoot-screech-hoot-screech and so on. Still puzzled by that.
@@hlcepeda We have them in NorCal. In fact, I heard one on my university campus two days ago.
It damn sure wasn't that owl.😑
Beautiful
I just came back to Oklahoma. I really missed the owls
Lovely. Great capture! ^^
Beautiful bird 😍😍
What a beautiful and majestic bird. I would like to see one in the wild In Michigan some day. Recently saw my first bald eagle.

Volume all the way up, I can hardly hear it. Too bad. The *visual* is great.
He’s so cute
Heard it here, and every day.
Thank you Jerry, I'm a chick forest technician from Montreal! I left my career over disgust of how things work in Québec in '87 but I did make a mycologist and a nurse, a pretty good slave to my husband and cats too, Happy Hallowe'en!
Beautiful sound...
“HOO, hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo, HOOOO.”
Translation: “You other birds are too damn loud. Calm the heck down.”
It's been half a year now and last fall really was a beauty, very magical time in my life. I heard a lot of Barred Owls but not these guys, unfortunately. I hope to one day and to see one as much as I do the showy Barred Owl.
Lovely!
Superbe j'adore 👍

Heeeyyy wait a minnnute...
Why isn't he sleeping?????
It just wants to sleep!
That is a share! Also, that does not look like an olive tree... leaves are completely different.
