Listening to France Musique in the car tonight I choked up just listening to her, never heard her before, then she spoke perfect French and I had no idea who she was, where she was from, I was just IN LOVE with her soul through her voice. Went online to hear the end of the show and found her name, photographs of her. Now spent the last few hours at my monitor with headphones blissed out on her many many performances. Where was I that I missed her for all this time. So so beautiful. How lucky we are to have her among us. Joy. Thank you Ms. Cecile.
Hi. I too heard the France Musique interview (in fact I think they focussed on her for the whole day). I did know her before, having heard her performances with Jacky terrason from a few years back. I have just cried my eyes out watching this piece. Wonderful.

Love the vocal and 20% of the piano, but the rest of the piano playing is too much jazz for this cretin. “Just because something is difficult doesn’t mean it’s worth doing.” 2:26-2:51 is great, but 2:52-3:05: what is that? And 4:50-5:15 is he sweating so hard because he can’t remember what song he’s playing? Does he get paid by the note?
Sorry, but I’m just a cretin looking for a nice version of a simple John Lennon love song. The piano player IS obviously awesome, but to me the tangents he plays detract from the mood of the song.

not funny! just listen and learn. be open to new impressions. he is one of the best jazz pianists. full of beautiful musical ideas.
