4:39 "Well you can't have her..." That line delivery by Raymond is PERFECT. 😆 I have the same sentiment when I buy a mixed box of donuts for my co-workers, and somebody wants to take the last original glazed.
@@JohnnyPerthpssst. Don’t be an *sshole, Johnny. Everyone knows it’s a TV show but people watch TV and movies to see and feel human interactions. Then they can COMMENT in the commentary section here. Get it now?!
So Marie invited all the women in Robert’s life to thinktank on ‘what’s wrong with him’. I’m surprised this didn’t backfire on her and have everyone figure out she was the source of his problems all along.
Well yeah, even if someone does blame her she somehow twists the situation so the accuser is in the wrong and everyone apologizes to her. There's no escape.
Raymond was very smart at the last moment, too bad they didn't show the scene after. Both barones were ripping on debra like tiny tim on christmas ham.
Marie is the cause of all this, all she does is like seeing Robert sad, depressed & mopy because she has always had a resentment towards Robert because he was born illegitimately. In my opinion, Robert would be a better husband towards Debra than Ray. Ray just takes Debra for granted & Robert would appreciate her more.
Robert was born early because Marie "fell for Frank's boyish good looks" before marriage. Frank and Marie were married when he was born. There's a hilarious episode that explains it.
This is so funny because Patricia Heaton is an excellent cook! As I watch these reruns I get annoyed at the way she is treated with regard to her cooking. But then I have to remember, it’s a tv show, lol!😊
Robert should've used psychological warfare against amy and stefania. Make him sound like he regrets dumping step while treating amy like she was just a one night stand. It couldve worked 😂😂😂😂
With Amy, he kind of strung her along even though he knew she wanted a more serious relationship. With Stefania, Debra is right, he was looking for flaws.
Robert has been attracted to Debra since he first met her. We see it in the flashback episode of when Ray and Debra met. It’s was much to Robert’s disappointment that Ray met her first.
I get to thinking of it and I don’t think Ray and Debra had to work extra hard finding each other. Things happened so naturally for them. I think when some people have things naturally happening for them they sometimes are too harsh on someone who has to work harder at those same things.
4:14 Ray: “Well you can’t have her.” -- “And besides, Did I ever tell you Debra…. looks less attractive naked?” Debra: “Ray…” Ray: “She has a beauty mark on her thigh that looks like Hitler’s mustache. She-she-she also grows dark curly hair on her toes; she SHAVES them.” Robert: “Really??” Ray: “Yup! Oh, and she buys an expensive EXTRA-STRENGTH deodorant from Mary Kay. She’s been using it regularly ever since her high school Sadie Hawkins Dance.” Debra: “RAY!” Ray: “And her ‘monthly visit’? One time she had it last more than 10 days.” *Debra throws food in Ray’s face*
This little clip is from season 5. That is actually the second time in one season that Debra laid into Robert about the dating ordeal. Lol. And of course it is the second time where Marie’s self centered side is shown. Marie in that other episode was more concerned about Amy giving her more grandchildren. Lol
I think the writers on this show were some of the best in the business. Ever. For a comedy. I cant even count how many times I had genuine, uncontrollable laughter's and chuckles from watching this show. There is only one show which I wont mention here. But thats it. Everywhere else its mostly luagh tracks that will get the audience going. Not this show. Audience is there with you, not there to push you.
Twenty-nine times in a row Amy broke up with Robert because of his fear of commitment, yet they got married👰🤵 in the end. I wonder who the biggest idiot in this dysfunctional relationship is.
I would've liked to see robert and debra together. Maybe ray gets a divorce and robert takes over, the house, the kids, the wife, all his, while raymond is having such a rough go of it he moves into marie and frank's basement. A complete switch. And all of robert's jealous "raymond has everything" lines are just foreshadowing to the final season where he literally gets raymond's everything.
Sometimes I declare Debra and Roberts lives reflect in a way where we see they have to work harder on things and situations in their lives as to where Ray’s life is an ideal sort of life where he acts immature but secure at the same time. Ray is probably more secure in who he is. Robert and Debra probably had more insecurities that nagged at them.
I didn’t understand the comedy in this when Marie invites Robert’s ex’s over for delicious appetizers and cocktails while badmouthing him in front of him and her when she saw how down he was feeling. This would be just as bad physical child abuse in real life
0:59 Marie just cant help but say them most toxic things. And that nod at 1:09 was just sickening. All the women in this episode were just pathetic and irredemably horrible. Stay single brothers.
Yeah I think Debra here was maybe more harsh with Robert than necessary. I think one thing I am noticing is when the majority of things happen naturally in some people’s lives they probably are a little too hard on others who have to struggle more for those same things. I am saying that because it seems that Ray and Debra naturally fell in love with each other and I they didn’t have to work much for it. I could be wrong but it is my opinion
Sadly.. this is always how it goes. It is always the "Roberts" that "need to be fixed.. .yet Amy (initially), Stefania, and Marie NEVER saw any faults on their side. The entire reason Amy started being better to Robert was because she realized Debra was right about Marie. The moment she "didn't try to be like Marie" was when they clicked. Robert's statement, as he says, is about "finding that right person". Men don't want to "marry their mothers".. but too many women want to either "marry the Daddy that always spoiled her like a princess".. or because he didn't they want to "take revenge" because of their "Daddy issues". And I know all the hate I will get for how I said that.. but let''s get real. Women always claim "I settled", when the truth is.. .most of the time, it is men who settle.. because the "perfect" women treat most men like crap.. but fall for "Chad" and become a "baby mama" in his harem. "Wait. are you saying Frank Barone 'settled' on Marie?!?" Yes, he did.
4:39 "Well you can't have her..."

Robert's expressions is hilarious 🤣🤣
Excellent acting!

I think his facial expressions rival that of Ralph Kramden in terms of making you laugh.
All you can eat character assassination, that line is pure gold
This show was SO well written. And consistently too.
And perfectly cast
The writers, imo , were some of the best in the business. Out of this world.
"....is this a trap"??
😂😂😂😂😂
That might be one of the most psychologically damaging things Marie has ever forced on Robert.
Damn straight
lol, psst, it’s not real
Yes..."an all-you-can-eat character assassination," like Robert says.

Why wuld Marie put Robert in such an embarrassing situation!! This will leave him more resentful and its not helpful to him at all.
Cause Marie never likes seeing Robert happy
Cuz she's nuts.

Robert said the Quiet Part out loud regarding Deborah
