I take 200mg at night and 200mg in the morning. I also take mirtazapine 45mg. When I first started taking tegretol I felt pretty dizzy and lightheaded, apart from that I felt fine and i've been on them for a while now. I personally feel tegretol combined with mirtazapine has changed my life!!! :D I used to take quetiapine and mirtazapine together and I felt like a fucking zombie. Tegretol has it's side effects like all medication but stick with it and you'll be fine!!! (If you feel genuinely horrible then go back to your gp)
I am on the same dose along with 225mg venlafaxene. I find my short term memory and getting my words out is effected with tegretol. But my agression is much less and anxiety is better than just with venlafaxene alone. Sex seems no more effected than with venla alone.
I was just prescribed this and I’m a little nervous about starting it. I’m being started at a very low dose though, so do you think that would help with some of the more intense side effects? Are you still on this medication and how do you like it overall?

I can not do other medications and I'm afraid to do any of them after having some really bad experiences. I see this video was posted in 2014 can you please tell me if you are still on it and is it still working for you?

Hi thanks for answer !! For now I just feel very sleepy .I sleep Like 12 hours a day and a little bit dizzy .. But Its hard because I cant drive for 6 months because of my last seizure so hope tegretol is going to be good! I wonder if know if exercise is good if i am taking tegretol at the same time ..
Hi thank you for your comment. I have found that emdr therapy to be the most effective treatment. But the medication did help while I was on it, I was able to get on a path to healing. Are you taking carbamazepine? If so has it helped you.

I take venlafaxene and Tegretol, E. d seems no more effected than when I was just on venlafaxene. And Cialis helps alot. But yeah if you don't urgently need these meds then try and find other solutions.

ITS A GABA-A AGONIST!!!! Also the fact that its a Serotonin releasing compound will further explain these reactions.
Is it a dopamine agonist as well? Does it make you feel emotions?

How long were you on seroquel?
And what side effects did you suffer from it?
I am prescribed Tegretol for muscle spasms by a Neurologist. Why are you taking it?

Hi, the side effects should pass after a few weeks. If they do not I would recommend you talk to your doctor. Are you feeling any better?
I suffer from nerve in my head, legs too , tell me if this helps

From what i understand about prolonged and extended release, medication is designed to slowly absorb so you get more of an even dosage all day.

Strattera which is an adhd medication and carbamazepine a mood stabilizer both have worked well but I am only taking strattera at the moment 40mg
