Hi mate, I know this area extremely well. Glad you found the cave. The gritstone millstones you will find all over the PD, padley gorge, burbage, curbar edge, Beeley moor areas. Don’t quote me, as I’m not 100% sure (maybe 95% 😊) but these would have been quarried & left there unfinished or untransported out due to increased competition & more demand (for finer white flour) from other ‘stronger’ & ‘cleaner’ stone in early 18th century. They were simply left there 😢 ATB Dave
Those views were spectacular. I've never seen that Pride and Prejudice movie or any Pride and Prejudice movie (or book) for that matter.....Not for lack of trying on my wife's part though. 🤣😂 The recreation was spectacular though.....
Yep...I know I didnt add the parking location. What3words are lower.toys.cared, postcode is S32 1BR
My son Calvin walks in while I’m watching, looks at the screen and says “didn’t that guy used to be bald?” 🤣
Another cool place!
Haha I did, it was by choice though. When it's that windy I think of shaving it off again haha

Interesting take, so instead of being dumped they were just never collected and now they're iconic.

Think yourself lucky it was your seat and not your camera or yourself lol
Wouldn't be surprised to break or lose my camera one day
