great build. for a movable sash i attached my plexiglas to two wires wich go to the ceiling and are counterbalanced by some weights works really wel and i really love beeing able to open the glass all the way and close it whenever i either let my fan run on low volume or when it gets a little sketchy

Chemicals would build up at the 90 degree elbow. Maybe remove the elbow and attach the limp pipe to a rod straight to the window.

thanks for the comment and the concern, I know the limitations of this kind of setups, and will have them in mind when utilizing the hood.
Proper fume hoods cost thousands, and are most of the time not even sold to the public.
