It's time for our very first Walt Disney World vacation! Join us as we embark on our Day 1 visit to ANIMAL KINGDOM!
We got to the park a little early, because we wanted to hop on the Safari before it got too hot. First stop though was BREAKFAST! We grabbed a biscuit at Pongu Pongu, before popping over to Africa.
The Safari was gorgeous and so much fun. Most of the animals were at least visible, from the elephants playing together, to the lions soaking up the sun. This was an awesome way to start the day.
Next up was Flight of Passage, which we knew NOTHING about - and were a little surprised that it was basically Fancy Soarin'. Then we did Navi River Journey, and very much appreciated the nice coooooool float down the river.
Our restuarant for this day was Tiffins. It is inspired by the trips the Imagineers took while they were building Animal Kingdom, so everything from the decor to the food pays homage to them. We were astounded by the bread service, and the entrees were delicious.
We of course did Expedition Everest, which was probably our favorite ride in the park, and Dinosaur which was...unhinged, lol. The Lion King show later in the day was a real treat.
Overall, we absolutely loved the vibes of Animal Kingdom and it was the perfect way to kick off our trip. Stay tuned for Day 2: Hollywood Studios!
