Hearing that reminds me of the '01 so much. Nothing better than a good original Southern 3 chime step top! Those MDwhistles replicas sound nothing like this!
No, the last runs were the Port Clinton to JT excursions in Oct 2010, this was May 2010 so this was the third year of Tunkhannock excursions, they switched it to May from July after the first year because of the hot weather in July, May is cooler. Also there was only one excursion from Tunkhannock in 2009 and 2010. July 2008 had two excursions on Sat and Sun the same weekend.
Is there any possibility/chance this engine can run an excursion in Cincinnati. I know the Cincinnati railroad club has been lacking any steam excursions ever since NS cancelled their steam program. This would be a great engine to showcase!
Typical rail fan, never satisfied. Andy Muller is the railroad business to make money and steam excurisons rarely profit. Why waste coal and water on an empty train? Be thankful for what Mr Muller is doing because he doesn't have to. When you have your own railroad you can do whatever you want.
Excuse my dumbass behavior. I must have written that a few years back when I didn't really understand how things work. Its actually quite amazing how much Ive changed in only a few years. I'll remove that comment immediately.
Great video!! Love how those people just stroll right across the tracks at 2:50 lol
Hey sasssdgghhffgfdffsdgjindie1361
another exceptionally awesome video!
I love the whistle!
@@Athestar04 now it is owned by engineer that works on the Dollywood express in pigeon forge Tennessee. It has been used there on and off since 2019.

It's a move with no passengers, just getting the train to/from it's home terminal (Port Clinton) to the starting point of the excursion (Pittston).
No worries, have a beer on me haha
Look on the bright side, Southern fans. The SD50 is running long-hood foward!
Is there any reason why the diesel is pulling the train?
Does 425 still have the second tender?
Haha nice :P
I want to know whistle is this cause can't find anywhere this whistle
I love how they conveinently pick a diesel who's roadnumber is one higher than 425's...
I think they conveniently named the 426 after the 425, just like UP did with 844 and 8444
@GenesisSanctuary The diesel is there for protection. The steam engine is to be the star of the show during the event, not before or after.

NS"s steam program is still run strong in 2017
@CSX6000
If only it was that easy. The world would certainly be different.
425: I’ll be back!
4:17 The house onwer prob REAL PISSED.

What is a "ferry move?"
@adfgfds Alright well how about you call up Andy Muller and you can tell him that he should run the way you said.
